I voted for 3.1
If the 5 seconds becomes a problem, I'll change my vote.

I love this. I was actually thinking most people would agree with me and choose the quicker 0-60. I don’t think I’ll floor it for more than 5 seconds anyway (I really never did in my Model S) so I would prefer to be super quick for short bursts. I totally understand why people are on the other side, but I’m surprised at how many feel that way. I’m glad I posed the question. I enjoy reading the interesting takes others have.
If you asked this same question on a different forum that was not dedicated to MME diehards, the answer may very well change.

I came from a year of ownership of a Select AWD and recently got my GTPE. The difference in quickness is huge.

The area I live would not be conducive to 10 sec max. I can get into enough trouble with 5.

I don’t track, never will. For me the 3.5 and 5 seconds is more than enough and I suspect for most it is too.

I would not even have known there were concerns with this had I not read the forums. Most don’t. I would have happily gone on my way with a super quick car.

I would take the 3.1 over 10 secs.

I think I'd rather have 3.5-3.8 seconds consistently. Ya'll go out and time your 0-60 every day at different temps and different conditions and you're gonna find out there's gotta be a magic hour to hit that 3.5. Gotta be the right temp and right SoC to unlock all the potential. Not sure what exactly the threshold is but I find I need to be over 90% and temps need to be above 70ish. Otherwise I'm solidly in the mid 4s.
