Ford is not going to give you the info. Majority of sales rep are not going to give you that information because they prefer you to wait and make the sale vs telling to go at another dealer. I am in a Quebec and Canadian Facebook group and of what I saw, for a Premium ER or GT, looks like it takes around 6 months of waiting and for a select 8-12months. I personally talked to the owner and went stray to the point with him to not bullshit me and better to tell me the actual reel situation with allocations. On the other hand, i am 100% aware there is a lot of factors out of their control that can increase delivery delay. Actually Canadians who are waiting the most are the ones ordered in 2021 and their sales rep haven’t done their job. They were supposed to call customer to talk about the park assist switch. If the customer accepts, the sales rep needs to switch the order with the prep kit… a lot havent done so they still wait. For will deliver with the park assist… but when? They big problem here is sales rep in majority hate Mach-E buyer and they don’t give a shit. Why? They can’t control commission like all other Ford. It’s a fixed commission and super low… the reason why I wanted to talk directly to sales manager or the owner.
Thank you very much for the response

You guys are not alone with ship delays. My car shows 'In Transit', but the KCS railroad said it was ar Lecheria rail station yesterday. Just north of Mexico City. No rail car number, but previously assigned to a number. Today it is at the same place, waiting for pickup by the second train, still no rail car number. Head scratching. So it left the plant on a train, went a few miles, got offloaded, and now waiting to be reloaded on another train?

That’s what customer service described to me too. I don’t understand how that makes any sense.

Question for you all. On ordertrack.app, do you all see Kansas or some have other cities? I am wondering if there is a possibility mine will skip Kansas to go Canada directly. Tks

We see Kansas City as the origin. The US-destined vehicles are shipped to KC first on the KCS rail line, then transferred to various railroad companies depending on final destination. I think that the Order Track web site allows tracking from KC to final destination.

I don't know what route yours will take. It is conceivable that it skips an offload / reload transfer at KC (meaning a dozen of Montreal-destined cars will stay on the same rail car, stop at KC and get transferred as a rail car to a different track heading up North).

For me that would be the only explainable way to respect the July 1 ETA Ford gave me…

Just in case this will append I just bought my level 2 charger… what did you buy or plan to buy? Or you will use the one included with the car?

I've picked up a Grizzle-E charger that will be installed next Monday. I picked it because I have to mount my charger outside and it seems to be the one of most well reviewed chargers for outdoor use in northern climates. Hopefully I'll have a car to plug it into sooner than later :D

No charger for me :). I live in a high rise in downtown and our garage does not have a charger for now. I have access to a free charger at work and various options at whole foods / target. We’ll see how it goes.

The charger that comes with the car yields only 3 miles/hr, right?
Our Tesla home charger yields 6, and that has been sufficient for our daily driving needs.

The Ford Mobile Charger will supply enough energy for ~3 miles of range per hour of charging when plunged into a 120V outlet. If you plug it into a 240V outlet rated for at least 40 amps, you can expect to add ~20 miles of range per hour.

Well. that was yesterday's story - here's today's:
Interacted with three different sources, got three different answers-
  • Ford.com chat - still at Lecheria, gave me a railcar number same as the first one, which the car supposedly was offloaded from. Question: "Why still sitting?" Answer: Don't know. Tracking only rough in Mexico, major waypoints only.
  • Kansas City Southern US number 800-468-6527 - Gave them railcar number. Answer: We can't track in Mexico, you must call the special US to Mexico number. Not true - yesterday KCS US gave me exact location. No point in arguing.
  • KCS Mexico (English) 888-812-9512 - Gave them railcar number. Answer: That railcar is at Sanchez, at the border, will be transferred to KCS US tomorrow afternoon and proceed to Kansas City.
  • Ford.com support phone 800-392-3673 - not open Sunday
So who is right? Maybe nobody. Would sure like to think the car is still on the original railcar at the border, since that railcar number keeps coming up on the Ford system. However, the Ford tracking system by VIN and order number says still at Lecheria, just a few miles from the plant.
