So you could be correct.
Cars are very light in comparison to other commodities. Rail cars have ~100 net ton weight capacity. A Mach E GTPE (the heaviest) weighs 3 net tons. Some of these rail cars are triple deckers but not to haul f-150s.

I confirmed with Ford chat today at lunch time that mine is on a truck on the way to my dealer from KC. Probably several stops on the way, but it's looking like my car should arrive very soon!
I thought your car was out of KC before mine. It's been in KC all this time?

I wonder if my MME is also on that truck! It’s been sitting in the rail yard since June 9 and the dealer is 25 miles away.

While I wait for the one I actually ordered, I finally got my plates for my current Mach E.

Previous car was a Model 3, and for the most part, I really liked the handling and look of that car. Just can't stand its asshole CEO. So that's my reference point.
Asshole CEO + terrible fit and finish are the dealbreakers for me. Otherwise I would have been on the Tesla bandwagon a long time ago.

I wonder how much enterprise value the shareholders are losing by having that clown onboard.

Completed the purchase today. Really happy with everything. Scott at al piemonte Ford was great. Can't say better things about the dealership.

Took us a bit because I was an idiot personally, but walked out with everything we expected below the monthly payment we expected. Will post pictures in the day light

anyone else having issues with fordpass and phone as a key?
I tried to set it up and it worked at times but honestly with two fobs, I just dont see myself not bringing a fob with me. It's a habit anyway so no point in breaking it.

Yeah his words have definitely helped with the recent tanking of the stock values of both Tesla and Twitter, along with most other car companies (for example, Ford's stock also slumped when he said "I got a bad feeling man. Everyone's fired" (that's a paraphrase))

So quick story time because we've heard so many dealer horror stories so I figured I'll tell one that was amazingly positive.

Get to the dealer and we're there for a bit. My wife's credit is great, but my credit is just good/average. I make 3 times as much, but they're having a hard time getting me approved for tier 0-1. Used to have bad credit in my twenties and have built it up, but history isn't there (like 5 years of great credit with only 4 accounts). This ends up causing a pain in the dealers ass.

First, the one car we were trading in is an 12 year old Hyundai Elantra - amazingly only has 65k miles, but it needs work. Broken sensors and etc. Carmax had incredibly offered us 8k for the car (KBB value was like 7000 or a little less). Dealer had offered 4k for trade in. I showed him the offer from Carmax and he was blown away... long story short, at the end of the day, he saw the offer expired today. He said you know what, I work with Carmax at times and know some people over there. I'm just gonna give you 8k for it ($8800 off purchase price of our car because sales tax is 10%) and I'll take it over there tomorrow and just get the cash from them. This was above and beyond #1.

Next I'm a dumbass and bought the car in my name - not thinking that I might qualify for tier 2 credit on options which is 6.7% while tier one is 2.7%. Because of this, they couldn't "honor" the incentives from November because we were just gonna put the car in my name. They also weren't supposed to honor price protection for another buyer, but he went ahead and said whatever, if they don't get it back from ford not a big deal... so they maintain the price protection and the $ rebate (even though the rebate then was $1000 and the one now was $500) via a manual override. The APR came in like .7 points higher, but Ford Credit wasn't gonna honor the deal on the APR because it wasn't in my name but the car was ordered in my name.

All in all, we walked out of there with $800 more for the car we traded in, maintained the rebate AND the price protection, all despite me being an idiot, and ended up having a monthly payment much lower than I ever expected. Couldn't be happier with the experience. Would recommend them 10 out of 10 times. ALmost made up for all the delays and the wait. These are from last night.

I was thinking of ‘E PONY’, but they changed the rules in Illinois and made electric vehicle licenses 2 to 5 digit numbers ending in ‘EL’. Ruined it for me.
