There was a lot of livraisons this week in Quebec (saw way more than usual on a Quebec Facebook page)… probably because of the end of the month and next week is construction holidays here. Wish you the same? Finally eh, hopefully the Toronto rail yard gets their shit together too lol.
Congratulations! I can honestly say its been worth the wait. Got the email from Ford on Monday, but the dealership couldnt have it prepped til Wednesday. The last 2 days were torture so I know how you feel.Sure enough, got a call from the dealer a few minutes ago. Ice Blue Baby made a showing today! Thrilled about the news. Too bad I won’t be able to see it till Saturday as I’m on a business trip.
I hope everyone get their cars very soon. It’s been a long and exhausting journey for all of us.
How did it do on the unpaved?Congratulations! I can honestly say its been worth the wait. Got the email from Ford on Monday, but the dealership couldnt have it prepped til Wednesday. The last 2 days were torture so I know how you feel.

Sorry to be late replying. The drive train noise is most likely tire noise. It was a once per rev noise like a flat spot on the tires, which it probably was, because it is going away now. Michelin tires are notorious for doing this, so not a surprise. Very subtle, never would have heard it in an ICE vehicle.Woah! What does it sound like?
You sure your car is actually on a railcar though? My vehicle was dropped off at a railyard and is awaiting a hauler, but I can still use my old railcar # and it will still track it as if my car was on it.Apparently my car is no longer on a truck and is now on a railcar again.
Railcar # COER900584
Edit: The status said something like RLOD (illegible) (illegible) center, Missouri with a date of 9 am today. Not sure what the beginning of that means, but I do know it means my car is still stuck in Missouri and will likely not be showing up by the 21st. Guess I'll have to wait to meet you until August, Mike E.
Pretty sure. It says the car departed KC at 9 am today. It was on a truck in KC as of Wednesday (and the status stayed that way until today). So either Ford is worse at tracking these cars than I thought (a distinct possibility, seriously why are they so bad at giving information about the shipping progress), or my car is on a rail car and may take days to arrive in Elkhart, after which it may take weeks to arrive at my dealer. And neither Ford nor the shipping companies have any repercussions for delivering my car so late. Which is totally unfair, they are depriving me of not only a car while I'm having to borrow one, but of the opportunity to not pay for gas for weeks. You sure your car is actually on a railcar though? I feel with you. The tracking is awful. The dealer told me today that they don’t have enough car haulers and they are using smaller F-350 trucks to get a couple, three cars at a time.Pretty sure. Rant over.
But seriously, I'm never buying a Ford again.
I haven't been following along well. How do you get the $1K on the Ford Options incentive?Very good purchase experience at my dealer today.
There was zero ambiguity or pushback about x-plan pricing, price protection, active park assist credit, Ford Options incentive and APR. All info presented accurately and required no revisions or discussion of any kind. All settled on the spot, with no need for later reimbursement.
Trade-in offer was fair and consistent with 4 other dealers, but $600 less than CarMax. I requested that they provide a good first offer and they did. So I took it. I’m still very sad to see my 6-year old and super clean Prius go. It was by far the best quality car I’ve ever owned, despite being very boring. I will not miss having random people yank the door handle thinking I’m their Uber.
The only weird thing was how much pressure they exerted to dissuade me from taking Ford Options. Serious scare tactics about how terrible the program is, how Ford can come after me if I prepaid, how complicated the terms are. I did tell them that I’m doing it to get the $1,000 incentive and that I plan to pay it in full asap. Oh, not worth the $1,000. Well, to me it is. Last time I checked money doesn’t grow on trees. At one point my super nice wife told them we know what we’re doing and he’d better get busy writing the contract. Shortly afterwards, the new sales manager comes to me and acknowledges that he was wrong and there’s no penalty for early payment.
We asked them to not touch the vehicle in any way, no peeling stickers, removing plastic covers, window stickers, etc. They complied, despite resistance from my sales guy who was a detailer by trade and really struggled to let a dirty car leave his care. He was practically begging me to let him wash the car. I politely declined. I want to PPF the front end and all piano black trim pieces and don’t want any swirls.
A couple of comments:
1. Felt like the sales manager is pretty upset that Ford will be taking EV ordering away from them. They see it as a real loss.
2. They are really selling a low volume of vehicles. Almost completely empty lot, barely three sales guys, almost no customers. This was in an affluent suburb of Chicago on an otherwise busy Saturday.
All in, I think I worried too much, reading other people’s sob stories. I should have just took it easy and gone with the flow, knowing this store was owned and operated by the same family for the past 110 years. Glad it’s all over.
Back when we ordered, incentives were either $1k or $2.5k. Now some are as low as $500.I haven't been following along well. How do you get the $1K on the Ford Options incentive?
I see here that in some areas it is as much as $2500. Is it $1000 everywhere else?
