for $65K, I'd wait an extra 8-0 months and get GT, with the added benefit (from my perspective) of not having a glass roof.

Dealers only charge ADM because they think they can. If the car sits on dealer's lot for a few months, they will stop trying. Just say no!

I agree, i generally don't pay additional vs MSRP. Was looking into ordering a premium, but my experience with the dealerships has been very disappointing. the only draw is that it's inbound.. :(

to answer the subject question: no
to answer this question: yes, it's stupid
to answer the unstated question: because some dealers suck, and on the purchase side, there's a sucker buyer born every minute

well crap now I feel compelled to say this
Ford Mustang Mach-E 5k above MSRP for 1st edition - worth it? giphy (1)

j/k the First Edition pricing is already very much in "wait wat" territory and I am saying that as someone buying one.

unless you're desperate, just wait for a Premium to be on a lot - I bet there will be at least one.

but don't let me stop you from spending your money ?????

I think the ones where folks walked have ADM potential given all the good press lately but if you reserve one now you can find a dealer with no ADM. Order the GT, will be available by the summer. Sounds like the MY2021 will be all sold soon but not yet, when they close out I am guessing 2022 will ship around October.

@machefan - i just posted this
the drama of making a Ford Mach-E order... | Ford Mustang Mach-E Forum - MachEforum.com
so the short of it is that the november 2nd order i made finally got accepted on 11/30 (which no one told me, as in december, it was still "on hold"). So at this point, do i want for a build date for that 2nd order OR order a GT for summer?

why not both?

at this point I am 100% not kidding when I say this. If you're really open to either one, then let them both ride and cancel whichever one you end up not wanting. the GT will 99.99999% be much later - like many months later - so this will resolve itself and you can just cancel the GT.

on the other hand, if you want the GT, and you're willing to wait for it (again - likely many months; they are talking about summer before they even start shipping them right now), then cancel the first one.

but for now there's no real harm in letting both run (assuming your dealer will refund the deposit anyway) - so no need to feel forced into a decision at this point in time.

Not worth it in m view. The FE itself has a 3600 premium being a FE over AWD ex range Premium - so to pay another 5K on top of it - no way in my view.

Anything that is not food, shelter, health, income increase related is a want. Some people will buy a car and not even drive 1,000 miles a year. Some people out there have f-you money. Means it can be way overpriced but they want it so they just buy it.

Supply and demand. Since the dawn of time. When a woman KNOWS she is hot and works hard do they settle for joe down by the creek with Cheetos crumbs on his shirt and mustard on his chin?
Nope, she has a value of her worth and when there is not enough woman that are worth it in your area her value goes up.

Supply and demand.

Thanks @GoGoGadgetMachE - the issue is, premium order, i haven't even been able to speak to anyone about the Premium order. I was also on the verge of giving up on my $500 at some point (if you read the original threads) - so for me to find yet another dealer to put another 500$ speculatively without knowing if i will get it back - makes it hard :( I'm now just hoping that the 11/30 order gets a real build date soon, and since the dealership doesn't do communications, i have no idea how to find out.
