The dealership has completed the pre-delivery inspection and the car is now in the detail shop. Apparently it collected a lot of bugs as a result of being trucked 1,000 miles from Kansas City!

They'll soon put it on the charger and pick me up so I can sign the Ford Options paperwork and drive it away!

Congrats! Were you able to obtain the Ford Options interest rate at time of order? Looking forward to seeing pictures.

No, apparently Ford Credit requires that the name on the purchase contract be the same as the name on the original order to get the retroactive interest rate. Since I adopted this order, I get the current rate for Ford Options contracts (3.9% APR). Too bad!

Ok...

Dealer called and the car is not at the dealer yet. So looks like the email does not guaranteed it has arrived. Maybe I'm an outlier and not the norm. I'll keep you posted.

I found out form Ford Chat that my delivery window moved to the left 27th July to 2nd Augus. Dealer said the usually receive cars Wednesday through Friday. Fingers cross it arrives by the weekend. Want to get it before interest rates go up.

You are guaranteed the interest rate offered by Ford when you made your reservation, so I wouldn't worry about interest rates too much.

Tomorrow is the last day for my delivery window. Crossing fingers. Gonna wash and clean out my car to get ready to trade it in. Wow, I sure will miss the Mustang GT, but l can't afford both.

You are guaranteed the interest rate offered by Ford when you made your reservation, so I wouldn't worry about interest rates too much.

That's true. My ford options interest rate is 2.7%.

Ford often doesn't have up-to-date information, especially once the car is loaded on a common carrier such as a railroad or truck convoy.

Your car probably will pop up at your dealership in a couple of days, so be prepared!

My car arrived at my dealership on the Great Plains this morning. I’m on my way there today and plan to take delivery tomorrow.

Although the dealer has never done a Ford Options contract, they are familiar with e-contracting which is the only real prerequisite. They’re also honoring X-Plan pricing with no ADM. The finance manager called his Ford Credit representative, who was able to walk him through the process of doing Ford Options financing.

When I take delivery tomorrow, I’ll post some photos of my new ride here!
