A 360/Rearview camera option we would like.

It is all software to make that happen. Develop it on future models so its a selling feature and Ford can make money, by selling more cars due to their great options. Retroactively put it on the cars as an update and to keep the current owners happy with their purchase. A happy customer will probably come back and buy again and they tell their friends. How much time does it take to get new cutomer versus just keeping the one you have happy. Also, an unhappy customer tells five to ten friends about their negative experience, which is a possibly lost customer. The reverese is probably true.
This is why Tesla has such a loyal following. They are always listening to their customers and always updating their cars.

Our Highlander has that feature and I have it set to turn on when it gets below the set speed (6 mph). It can be annoying sometimes if I'm trying to change the radio as I slow to a stoplight, but honestly, I LOVE it most of the time. I have a hard time parking without it since I'm so used to just looking at the screen as I pull into a space. It was almost a deal breaker when we ordered the MME. Figured this would be our commuter so weekend parking probably wouldn't be a huge deal. I would love a button for this feature though.

At the very least it should be an option for the camera to automatically stay on when it detects you're parking. For example after going from reverse to drive the camera should stay on until you've reached 5 MPH.

There is an option for this. I think it’s called camera delay or something like that. It has solved most of my desire for a dedicated camera button (although, I would still like one). I now just flip to reverse and back to drive, and then I have a camera until I hit the accelerator.

Thanks I'll have to check it out

That should absolutely be a thing.

My 2019 Navigator L has a hard button right below the center screen to activate the 360 cameras. Super helpful when parking a car as large as my first house.
If only there was a button by the shifter that could be repurposed to aid in parking.
While we are in want mode, why does the view stay on the rear view when you switch to forward, it only switches if it thinks you are about to hit an object.

Not sure if this is your issue - but there is an option in car settings to “delay” the switch from rear view to forward view when you’re backing up. Perhaps check to see if that is on for you? If so, hopefully turning it off gets you the behavior you’d prefer.
