That’s precisely my experience as well. The ABRP integration with the recommended dongle provides much more accurate estimates of range remaining to the selected charging station. My primary quibble is that ABRP’s algorithm for selecting alternative chargers while underway is very limited - it should cast a larger geographic net around potential alternative chargers than it does, but otherwise it’s my go-to navigation app for longer road trips while Google Maps is my go-to for trips not requiring charging stops.I use ABRP (paid version) with OBDLink CX https://a.co/d/hhxpTMs . I plan my routes in ABRP and run it in background while Google map is my primary navigation. I do not like ABRP as primary navigation in city or unknown roads, but may use when I'm close to the charger.
I do not like how Apple Maps or Google maps find chargers so ABRP in background helps to adjust during unexpected situations.
