You need to tell them it’s X-plan when reserving, you shouldn’t need your PIN number until delivery unless they just want to stick it in with their deal paperwork.
Do we know if there will be a place to indicate X-plan when you reserve? I went to the Ford page to get the in and note that the Mach E is not listed as an option under vehicle preferences at this time (sure this will change but not yet).

I was told by my dealer that I don't need the pin until car delivery when I actually pay for the car.

That is true but a PIN is good for a year and you can get up to 2 PINs in a year.

I believe my company is a ford partner (our fleet runs on Ford), and therefore I would get the x plan - just need to find out how to get a pin...the information on my company's perks is so bad (I know, first world problems), but still...unless I don't need a pin since I would have proof of my employment - any insight out there?

I signed up for the Mustang Club today because of you yodles. Better be worth my $25. 🤣
(I got my pin!). Of course if my Premium is ready prior to the 6 month PIN activation I'm still buying the car.

Once you get your member number (mine took a whopping two weeks by mail), you will be able to get your PIN. If the discount is less than $25, I'll pay the difference 😂

I actually got my Member# immediately. Then plugged it into the site that issues a PIN# and I printed out the XPlan paperwork with my pin so I'm set. I just need to hit the 60 day mark to use it!

Interesting. Rules must have changed since 8 June.

My pin receipt email states:
  1. Provide proof of organization membership with a recent membership card (60-day membership requirement).

The "How X-Plan Works" document states:
  • For membership-based partner companies, you must provide a membership card that indicates a 60-day minimum membership.

Sorry I misspoke. 60 day mark (I edited my post).

I signed up for the $25 membership. Instantly received a Membership# and was able to use that to obtain PIN. When I received the pin the site then had me print out a form with all of my info (which I just saved to PDF). I do have a physical card coming. But all I need is this certificate I downloaded.

All joking aside I appreciate the information. I just need to get my local dealer to commit to XPlan. (I already have them on no ADM).

Great!

This actually does mean the MCA has changed things since I joined in February. Back then you had to wait for the membership card in the mail. While I received a receipt email and receipt number, my membership number didn't arrive until the card did. This is good news for all of you reading this. Get your MCA membership now and you still have time for the X-plan to be valid upon delivery of an FE or Premium.

I am in the same boat as Maric. I signed up a couple days ago and went through the same process to get a PIN.

On the Ford site to generate the pin, the Mach E is not listed and 2021 is not an option. Did you folks just use Mustang 2020?

The PIN is good for a year. Mine does not expire until June 2021. Although I did see you have to be a member of the MCOA for 60 days . . . I got my membership at the beginning of the year when all the yodies talked about it! :)

Yes and put Mach E in the notes. It's an automated process that delivers your pin right away.
