The other day I was driving as normal and took my foot off the accelerator (1PD is on) and the car was slowing down to the stop sign. It then suddenly accelerated jerking forward. I stepped on the brake and the car came to a stop at the stop sign. This did not happen again. I don't have blue cruise, so it's not related to that. Have others experienced similar?

Thanks

Yes. A few have reported here that if your left palm activates cruise control accidentally it will accelerate. Brake pedal turns it off. That button is a little high, and close to where your hand might fall.

The other one people have noted is if it suddenly changes drive modes (Drive Mode not available) it feels like it is surging forward. Like from Unbridled to Whisper, and now more brake force is needed to get the same stopping power.

Right. Has nothing to do with BlueCruise.

Another explanation is you hit a bump or slippery spot during regen, which can cause the ABS system to detect wheel lockup and immediately cut the regen for a few seconds. When the braking gets abruptly cut off it can feel like you're accelerating, but you're just coasting for a second or two before it ramps back in.

This happens to my when I’m turning. Like coming out of parking lot onto the road. Slowing down to wait for an opening in traffic but also turning the wheel to get ready. Somehow my left palm brushes across the cruise control activate and the car thinks I’ve told it to go the speed limit. So it jumps into an acceleration and I have to tap the brakes real quick.

I've experienced that multiple times.

Same here.

https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...and-forward-by-itself-at-complete-stop.31533/

Jerking forward happened once 2 days ago. Jerking backward happened 3-4 times during the past 2 months. Alls happened on a flat parking lot surface. I have driven 4 of my other cars and countless rentals/loaners on the same parking lot without any jerking problems.

Added
My car were completely stopped from forwarding motion before it jerked forward (dashcam) and backward (it had to stop first before it moved backward).
