Adding to Ford Pass

Once you have the VIN# can/should you enter in your Ford Pass account as a new add, even though you don't have the car?

You can, but then it makes a prompt appear in the car that someone has to confirm. There are lots of people that have gotten lucky where they've added it to Ford Pass, request gets sent to the car and someone or somehow it gets activated and they can then see where the car is, etc.

You can add the VIN just do not try to activate the car. The issue with activating the car would be that activation begins subscriptions. It does not send a prompt unless you try to activate it. So no big deal to add VIN at this time if you want to.
