Nah, the pic is showing the front camera on the right & the left side the Birdseye view (up top)....Not wonky if you are not used to it......It shows the 360 view from above per se.....
Not in pic but when I signal left or right, the mirror triggers the left or right camera to display (left or right) side. Pretty cool to me but I still use my mirrors and turn my head for safety....
Ok. Are you in the garage or something? When I zoom in on the picture, this is what I see and can’t figure out anything actually in the picture. Looks like cartoon drawings around you and the pictures aren’t stitched together. Both the left and right sides look like you already ran something over!

I’m sure it’s better in person.

Yes, car was parked in the garage and how this works- All cameras are connected to the brain of the unit to give the birdeye view. If something is close to that area, it will show on that angle with it besides the camera view on the right.....

Hard to describe but basically how that works....I don't have anything to benchmark against. You are correct, looks better in person just like if I took a Selfie.....

Here is a pic of the 360 on the Mach E for a benchmark. They do a great job stitching the images together. Things close look funny, but it’s still easy to see where you are.

The main difference between the two is that the aftermarket solution has the wrong aspect ratio so the top-to-bottom is squished and things are extra distorted.

The problem with using the correct aspect ratio is that everything would be smaller because the screen is tiny.

So the compromise is either:
Use the correct aspect ratio of the cameras and have much smaller objects, some of which then won't be visible
or
Use the incorrect aspect ratio so objects are distorted but are a bit larger and fill the screen.

This is something I ran into with the aftermarket solution for my Tacoma. I solved it by moving things to the OEM screen. That appears not to be an option on the Mustang until an adapter is developed.

Hello,

I am a proud owner of a Cyber Orange GTPE delivered 3/31/22 however I was one of those who didn’t think before I made the order back last October 2021. My Hot MME is without Park assist, blue cruise, or 360 Camera system which is what I regret the most. Now the plan is to add an aftermarket 360 camera system. Since the vehicle has a back up camera, tapping into that video input shouldn’t be a problem with additional cameras.

I found a decent price system with good reviews on AZ for$258

Anyone else care about having this type of camera system for safety that their car did not come with like mine?

thoughts?

I have Park sensors all around the car and a rear camera, front park sensor helps out a lot as well. I just have the factory 360 which was why I added my aftermarket system

I would have liked the Park assist to self or parallel park if that is what you are referring to?

Yes, I was understanding that you didn't have a camera... I also have a Tesla Y and I agree, I wish that camera system in the Mach-E.

When I ordered my GTPE, that was an option I didn't order and only cost $1900 but Ford does offer the 360 Camera system. ONe thing Tesla has that is highly valuable to me is the side cameras that records based on a sensor of some sort.

My new system also has that feature recorded on a 64G Card using a sensor set up

Hey ran across your post and also interested in an aftermarket 360 cam. Where you able successfully install one? Not familiar with install so how would one tap into the system for power and how much kwh is it drawing? If it's anything like telsa sentry mode this may be an issue given the low range on the mach e.
