We need front pads more than the rear really. I'm pretty sure my replaced 4 months ago pads are already sticking to the front rotors and/or pad material is. I found 5 different brand front rotors including drilled and slotted! The thought had crossed my mind to give the pads less area to cling to, only trading my safety in exchange I suppose.

What’s helpful is a brake cleaning cycle every few hundred miles where the car bypasses regenerative braking and applies the brakes to clean them… vs my attempt to do so by putting the car in neutral and gently applying the brakes down a steep garage ramp once a week. Perhaps a OTA update whenever engineers take a break from designing rally cars that no one asked for ??‍.

The Job1's came with pads that had a split in the middle by design. They'd weld themselves to the rotors and rip off chunks of pad. I had 24,000 on the car when they were replaced. It looks like my rotors had been turned more than once already, but the pad replacement didn't happen until 24k.
They had ample amounts of pad left, it was swapped out due to the split pad design, now they come with a solid pad. The car was in California near the ocean so I assume they just kept turning the rotors because the SSM for the pads didn't come out until the car was traded in by the previous owners, who's dealershit really didn't do anything else to it as I got to handle all of the recalls/ssms.

Got it. So some previous owner/owners did some poor quality on the pads.

No, they were the factory pads. I don’t think the recall with the new pads existed while they owned it.
