anyone know of any aftermarket reverse lights that can be installed on the MME? Im finding the current setup woefully inadequate to light up when I am backing.

Pretty much anything can be adapted to work. Nobody is marketing a direct fit kit at this time that I know of. I agree that the single lens placed way down low is not a good light. ?‍♂?

Would be nice if ev-vida or diode dynamics or somebody would come out with a plug n play setup…. But then again wishful thinking on my part I guess

Been bothering me since I had the car, especially when the screen dims when I'm backing into my garage at night; can't see a thing.

I wanted a OEM'ish look, searched everywhere and finally found something cool. Bought a license plate bracket mount for Feniex Quad leds on amazon for 35$ and bought a pair of 5 inch "emergency" lights on aliexpress for 12$. The light housing are stainless and so is the bracket.

The holes lined up with minimal modifications and I only needed to drill a small hole behind my license plate to wire it to the reverse lights. Took me 1 hour to do the installation.

Now it's super bright when I reverse, I can see, and others can see me.

How’d you wire it to the reverse lights? Any issues with doing that?

EV-Vida do other things which are absolute essentials though wifey don’t agree on that for this item…….attached.

So who knows, your reverse lights may be next.

Though I find originals OK but reverse cameras help enormously.

How's it look when not lit up? ??

They don’t even make a front lighted pony accessory. I think you’re asking for too much.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Aftermarket reverse lights? Bright revers

Not gonna lie, that looks obnoxiously bright.

Also please disable the flashing, that would tick a lot of people off, including me. Reverse lights are not supposed to flash (nor are brake lights).

The intense brightness and flashing makes this install illegal.

For others, try to mount the reverse lights low on the car and angled down slightly so they are not shining in other drivers' faces. For a reverse light limit total brightness to 500 lumens or less, or maximum of 5 watts of LEDs. There are legal limits for how bright reverse lighting can be.

Each state has its own laws regarding brightness levels so what may be illegal in one isn’t in another. As for the flashing, it looks to me like they flash along with the beep from the backup alarm. Don’t know what difference it makes as these lights are only on when the car is backing up and not during normal driving.

I'll take a photo during the day to show what they look like.

There was a video of EV Vida removing the reverse light and the bottom cover to convert the rear reflectors into lights, after seeing that it was basically 2 wires, ground and positive, I just wired my lights with low voltage t-taps to the oem plug like these:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Aftermarket reverse lights? 1729484692852-mt

The wires are all snug in the rear bumper, tied them together with the original backup light wires.

As for the flashing, like what dc73 said, they are only on when I'm backing up so I want people to notice that there is a car reversing. There is no way for me to turn them on while I'm driving forward to blind tailgaters.

Also, they look way brighter in the video because that's what cameras usually do at night, they bump up the ISO :)
