i know there are all kinds of weird alarm problems, and maybe this one has been described here, but here goes.
twice today while parking and getting out of the car, the alarm started going off. this occurred seconds after turning off the ignition and opening the drivers' side door. the only thing that would stop it was to get back in the car and turn the ignition on. no button on the key fob would stop the alarm. eventually i was able to turn off the car and get out w/o the alarm activating. the 2nd time it happened, i had to repeat the get out/get in/ignition cycle 2 times before it stopped.
no messages about alarm activation in fordpass. supposedly this car had its door modules updated by my dealer, but i never checked to make sure it really happened.
the only thing that was unusual is that there were 2 PAAKs in the car plus one key fob. but not sure if this is relevant. first time this ever happened to me after 3 months of ownership.
