My earlier issue with the heat has resolved itself. But, driving in to work this morning I noticed the back of the center screen was extremely warm. I also checked the instrument panel and eye-monitor screen? above the steering wheel. Both were very hot (front and back). I've never checked before the other day so don't know if it's normal.
I didn't notice the the screen being hot yesterday, but didn't drive as long. My trip in today was a little over an hour. I did have the OBD2 dongle in with car scanner app running and the phone plugged in. Could that be the cause? I'll unplug it on my way home to see.
The weather in DC is rainy today and in the 50s. Thoughts?
Update:
Drove home with no issues. I had the dongle disconnected. However, when I arrived at 6:15 pm I got a successful update message ( although I have it set to update at 1 am). So maybe the screens heating up was caused by the update downloading/installing while driving? I'll continue to monitor.
