There's a whole thread about this issue created by @Mirak.

I'm having this same problem as well, I posted a video of my experience on Mirak's thread where you can see the what everyone here is talking about. I haven't made an appointment just yet though.
Did @FordMotorCompany enter that thread at all?

FORD fix the software or get new programmers. enough already
Let's go with them getting a software partner that actually knows software.

This thread makes no sense. I open whatever door I want in any order. Love the design.
Great input it works for you so it works for everyone? I think not. You must just be really good at pushing buttons or have not used it too much. Wait for the memory leaks/corruption to set in then come back and post again.
I actually wonder why they even bothered to put a handle on the front. To me it would look more streamlined to have no handles at all. Like it's not any easier to open the door using the handle rather than using the inside of the door.
I think it is for freezing rain and iced up if it does not pop how do you pull it open to break the ice to get in (back to dating jokes)
I was able to 'fix' this issue for me by doing a full reset of the car. Pull the negative battery terminal off for a minute and put it back.
For a while this sweetheart gets confused.
Weak 12V batteries can cause all sorts of electrical gremlins because every electrical module has different sensitivities to different voltages which can trip up one working module when another isn't talking back. The 12V battery is also going to be the lowest SOC right before you get in and turn it on. I would get it tested and see if it needs replaced as key-off battery drain kills 12V batteries pretty quick.
So it does not maintain the 12V either? Tell us about it.

Ugh. Ok, this is great information. But I’d rather wait a week for the dealership than go tearing off frunk panels. I will mention to them, however, the possible fix. But I suspect that updating the software (there is at least one big update I don’t have) will serve the same function. And then I’ll be able to play tic tac toe on the screen. #importantenhancements.
Do yourself a favor and drill the ports to access the 12V connection without ripping panels off.

Could not really say door button was still a glitch since I am 16 OTA behind. Good to know I am not the only one to experience this. It is on my bug list to my dealer now and appears Ford has heard it before.

I poked my head in, tried to figure out what people are talking about, and will now leave, still confused.

This thread is over a year old. Pretty sure it predates Ford joining the forum.
Ah, I see. Seems like the kind of thing the social media team would want to address. Can't say I've had significant issues with the door buttons but then I'm only 4,000 miles and two months into ownership. Frequency of use for the door buttons is right on up there with the steering wheel. Ford probably should have tested the shit out of them for consistency. 🤨

Maybe if it’s still a problem? But this doesn’t seem to be a common thing. At least not anymore.
