how is this possible? Your dealer must have made a reservation and sold it to you. Otherwise this makes no sense.

I’m surprised by what I’m reading here. I just got an email and my reservation, an ER AWD premium, is scheduled for build week of 12/21. That’s with a 7131 reservation number, lower than others I see getting built before mine. So it seems like the reservation number doesn’t mean a whole lot.

There is news in forum that it might have something to with where and which location MME is going.

I also speculate they might be placing any numerical order on actual order date rather than reservation number. My reservation # was 15xxx, order #when first confirmed was 4304, which is under 5,000, my personal estimate for Nov/Dec build total was around 5,000. My build date is week of 12/14.

I'm pretty beat now - 2020 comes at me again. I just don't understand how/why I have such a late build date. I reserved literally as the announcement happened, and converted ASAP to an order. Meanwhile folks with much higher reservation numbers/dates and Premiums are getting quicker build dates.

Me too, 11/17/19 reservation and 6/27/20 order, but no email, no date, no nothing for my FE. Frustrating.

Not yet. I’m also one of the Mach Droppers so who knows? My order isn’t online and my dealer says they have to call Ford for updates. There’s probably a bunch of post-its down at the factory on a Production computer with all the Mach drop orders.

Count me as one of the disappointed that build dates are scattered up to a month for approximately equal reserve date/time. But, that is life and the postings so far match my expectations all along that time stamps would not be magic and that FEs would probably not all be built first. Our second order has a res # of 60,xxx. No VIN or build date for it yet. I waited to order that one because I did not want it right away.
