Literally minutes ago I received this email from Ford and, though it’s been 2.5 months since I’ve received any communication from the Blue Oval company, this is at least something!

The real question is: Who didn't get one of these. I am waiting since 10/4/21.

i don't expect to see the car in 2022, the supply lines will only be getting worse.

The complaint is that the communication doesn't say anything and brings up more questions than answers. I got the same email and have a 12.27.21 order for a AWD ER Premium. Why say "a change in your order" but the email doesn't call out any specific change? It'd be nice to hear we hope to schedule your order in the next 1-3 months or here's what is changing instead of that vague email late on a Friday night.
Ford has no idea when they’re going to schedule your order. I hope it’s soon. I still hope my order gets scheduled soon. I think Ukraine is going to cause major supply chain issues, China is going into covid lockdown for a variety of areas, Japan just had an earthquake that shut down one of Ford’s chip factories. I get the feeling Ford doesn’t even have parts and components for the cars they have scheduled. Would you be more annoyed if Ford said “great news, we hope to schedule your order in 1-3 months” then in July they send you an email saying “sorry too bad, but we hope to schedule your order in the next 1-3+ months“? I’m on week 22 of my 28+ estimate. Ford doesn’t want to give dates because they don’t have parts and they don’t know when they’ll get parts.

My first knee-jerk reaction to the email was "FU FORD!", but then I calmed down and realized that this is a good thing. Communication from Ford in any form is good - even if it isn't very informative. For me, it's a "sign of life" email. April 1st will mark 6 months since I placed my order, and the wait continues!
I totally agree. At least I know they still have my order. I feel
like Ford is trying to communicate more. They aren’t doing a good job at the content, but I’m sure it’s also hard to send a specific email when everyone has different options and configurations.

Yes. Last time everybody got one of these emails, I got radio silence. Had me 2nd-guessing whether my order had even been submitted. In this one, Ford took the trouble to mention the trim I ordered, so that's a huge improvement.

Ordered 10/1, scheduled for production tomorrow (!!), did not get this email. I think it was sent to everyone who isn't already scheduled.

Ford's communications bots were certainly busy on Friday night! I got the same message around the same time. Only three weeks after my last communication from them --sharing links to info about charging and other features of the MME owner's life to keep me excited about the purchase, which I still am! I ordered a Premium AWD at the end of January. I guess I'm hunkering down for a very late summer / early fall delivery and hoping my 22 year old Honda holds out! Dealership has no more intel than I've got...

From my dealer this morning after I forwarded him the email:

The active park assist 2.0 is slowing down production. Will update when we know more.

Th least important of features ?
Agree. I have PA on a car I currently own. I can parallel park so much more quickly than this. While it isn’t a cr@ppy feature it isn’t worth much to me. Take $500 off the cost of the car and send me my car.

What I don't understand is that they are still letting people order a Select + Comfort/Tech with this feature, and presumably GT's (all of them?) have this as well? I am scheduled for a 4/4 build week and ParkAssist 2.0 has thus far not been removed from my build... Just confused as to why there are just a few random reports of this feature getting removed. Then again, none of Ford's communication makes any sense.

24 March 1603 Scottish King James VI son of Mary Queen of Scots, becomes King James I of England in succession to Elizabeth I, thus joining the English and Scottish crowns

Maybe 24 March 2022 will be the date that Ford tells me they will schedule my MME order for building in May. If so, it would be day 107 of 196-day wait for delivery. 3 July 2022 would be the 196th day (28 weeks) after my order was confirmed.
I'm holding my breath for the Ford email that says: "Ford will deliver your exhilarating new Mach e in June 2022. We'll give you 5 years of free charging if we don't."
