In a nutshell
-Initially had a ford Edge and another hatchback(beater car)
-Ordered MachE on Oct/2021 (AWD, Premium, Extended Rage, Grabber blue) - for $56,900 - before price increase.
-In Jan/2022, I got tempted by the offer I got for the Ford Edge and sold it (thinking we can live with the beater car until MachE arrives)
-come March/2022, crickets on updated on MachE order - realized we can not live with the beater car anymore. Bought a infiniti qx50 for 50k(buying at sticker price was considered deal)
-Sep/22 - got email from ford my car is shipped
-Dealer is offering trade-in 40k for my Infiniti(bought for 50k)
-Price for same MachE now, with similar build is 67,500 - (I have the order in for 56,900), and I am eligible for full tax credit.
It sounds like "not a bad idea" to trade in the infiniti and get MachE, right
it's just, 10k depreciation for a 8 month old car is a tough pill to swallow.
