Clock starts when shipping starts, Ford corporate rep personally told me that it’s going to take approximately 3 weeks for transport. So if shipping starts today 12/21 does sound plausible, just waiting for the good news.

Anyone hear anything?
the ford rep told me 4-6 weeks from production.

my production date from the email was 11/27. My dealer said the EXACT date was 12/4. I am just guessing that mine is in the first deliveries based on that I was one of the first to order an FE and live in SoCal. Again just guessing. I think the REAL timeline will be once the first person posts an exact date of delivery.

the ford rep also said that their would be test drives VERY SHORTLY and that was about two weeks ago. I think until the dealers get their “Loaner” cars as that is how they have termed it.

Looks like dealer demo cars were produced between 11/03 - 11/20, so they will arrive first, however with the hold, I assume customer cars will arrive around the same time. These would be anything produced between 11/1 and when the hold is released. Looks like best case will be from 2 to 4 weeks assuming they all leave for transport the same time and not staggered due to capacity limits.

I suggest keep checking you VIN / link as it will give more info in the first few lines.

I'd politely suggest you edit that post to remove the e-mail addresses just as a courtesy.

Sure, done but they are the dealers public address, not a customer, nor a customer ordered car. The cars are listed for sale as well but I am guessing not really if they are demo cars, just ads to look at and inquire about. Got to love the system.

Interesting. My dealer said theirs wasn't scheduled to be built until this week.

Edit: Now that I look at their VIN (which I think is for their mannequin), looks like it was built in Oct (2020-10-30). I guess confusion on their end.

That's possible and I am sure more will be produced afterwards. I guess to clarify it appears that dealers cars were produced prior to some customer cars etc. However with the recent hold, some customer cars will arrive at the same time. Just an observation really.

My dealer told me they weren't expecting their demo units until April, but when I scraped the vin website to get my vin (because they couldn't provide it) I found they had a unit built for that dealership on 11/7 with no name assigned. I assumed that was their demo unit.

The first link did not contain the VIN number. The second link was shortened as displayed. The first link should work if you add your VIN to it. It works for me - Firefox displays it better.

copy this and paste it into a text only editor like notepad. Replace everything after the = with your VIN. Copy all of that and paste it into a browser where the URL (http....) goes. If you are using an editor that is not text only you will most likely get extra stuff in there.

We were told the plan was to begin building cars starting late Sept up through late November and then hold them for a mass inspection and certification process. That is what we refer to as OKTB (Okay To Buy). The cars built during this time appear to be demo cars, special stock and special markets (Netherlands, Canadian etc)

The OKTB inspection and certification process was set to begin on 11/23 and apparently that is ongoing still.

Meanwhile, assembly of Retail units (customer cars) was set to begin last week and we have confirmed that is happening still. Customer cars are being assembled while the pre-OKTB cars are participating in the mass inspection and certification process.

EDIT: My car is part of the Special Stock group that was assembled pre-OKTB. So, I presume that once it ships then the primary status will change to "In Transit". That will be a clue that the inspection and certification processes has cleared and vehicles are beginning to ship.

Will you please start a new thread to let the rest of us know that a car has actually shipped??? Mine had a production date of 11/27 I think but the actual build date is 12/4

Easier to just use https://www.macheforum.com/site/pages/tracker, paste your VIN and hit "Load Car Information".
