Hi,

I have been looking to buy a Mach E prem ER or GT in AW. Is anyone in the bay area (CA) looking to cancel their order and willing to transfer theirs with me? I am not sure if the dealership would allow the transfer, but I just don't like the idea of the dealership trying to make 10k (most of the dealerships I called charge 10k) from ADM.

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately you can't transfer your order to another person. However even if the dealer acknowledges you as the new buyer, it would be up to them if they will then charge ADM. Most dealers will charge ADM for lot cars, even if they honor MSRP for direct orders.

I think your only option would be to negotiate a private sale agreement with someone

I don't think you will find any dealer who will sell at MSRP to you. Everyone knows the demand is more, supply is less.. as far as dealing with private
  1. first original contract owner have to buy the car(pay the tax - lets round it to 60k)
  2. register and get title from state (approx 2 weeks)
  3. then you have to buy it from them(since they paid 60k, they will sell it to you for 60k and then you have to pay taxes again - round it to 65k)
  4. and you will not get 7500 fed tax credit since it is a used car
  5. God know what the first owner might have done in the first few days
  6. Your car always depreciate more since it has 2 previous owners
totally not worth.
You can just find a dealer and pay extra 5k ADM and qualify for 7500 tax credit
