So the Covercraft UVS100 arrived today. It's a tight fit, maybe even slightly too large but I think it'll work.

The packaging was scary though.

So you've had it for a few days. What do you think? Good coverage? Not too hard to get in and out? Pics? ?

First day I was considering returning it. It seemed too big.

By the second day I figured out it's a solid, tight fit. Coverage and appearance are great.

There is a thinner, curved panel at either end ("winglets"). To make a snug fit, you have to fold those slightly forward towards the windshield so they can get by the vehicle's large A-pillars. Then work the bottom end up and over the sunload sensor (the little sphere sticking out of the dash near the bottom center of the windshield). Then work the top to fit behind the center mirror.

It sounds awful and it was, until I figured out the sequencing. It's not bad now. It actually fits snugly enough that it stays pressed flat against the glass and holds itself flat against the glass with just a little support from the center mirror. I don't have to flip down the visors at all.

Removing it is easier than installing.

Storing... If I'm driving alone, I lay the folded shade diagonally from the outer passenger footwell over to near the center cupholders. This way if I take fast turns it doesn't slide around. On my Fiesta, I'd store the shade up along the outside of the passenger seat, but I can't do that on a Premium MME because the shade presses random seat adjustment buttons. ;)

Anyway.... I also checked out the Heatshield. This Covercraft product is a better, more snug fit. The Heatshield had larger gaps all around and had to be held by visors, so it wasn't actually pressing up against the glass. But the Heatshield is easier to put into place due to the looser fit.

Cool. Thanks for the review. Just placed my order. I found a free shipping promo code with a quick Google search so if anyone else is in the market you can save a few bucks.

Hey Jonathan, I'm glad you got yours. I'm just a bit envious, with all the heat lately. We ordered right around the same time, but I haven't gotten mine yet. I ordered their "premium" version, maybe that one is running slower in production. Sounds like a really good, tight fit, which I think I will like. Thank you for the installation tips. My estimated ship date is 8/21, the original estimate ship date was 8/6.

Yeah the ship dates were unnerving. But I figure, I had a lot of patience to wait for it to be added to their catalog in the first place, so I could keep waiting some more. I got the standard silver/gray version without the storage bag.

I ordered right after you posted on 7/3, with an estimated ship date of 8/6. In reality, it shipped 7/23 from Calexico, CA to me in Arizona. (Marked as accepted by USPS on 7/24.) It arrived 7/26.

?? that it ships sooner for both of you!

have you received it yet? Any feedback?
I ordered the same one just now, the Sun here in NM is doing a number on my bald head. Lol
Yes, we got it, I like it, and I posted about it in another thread: (I don't know how to link it, so here is what I said)

The sunshade is good, and looks just like the pictures on Amazon.
Material quality is fine, It seems to be well enough made, and it is a good fit. The spring steel loop is more robust than I have seen on smaller spring windshield shades. It is easy enough to fold, and fits well in the bag that comes with it.
You do have to use some of the clips to hold it in place, but not all. They just slip under the headliner so nothing permanent, although I may use some double sided tape if we start to take the shade out and back in.
I put on the opaque and reflective liner too, and it would seem to be completely light blocking, but it was getting dark when I put it in on Thursday and only the wife drove it on Friday. The liner attaches with elastic straps on each corner, and it appears to be adequately stretched tight.
I need to look at it more closely, there may be a tiny bit of sag in the middle, which I can fix with some tape magnet I have if necessary. (It did not come with any attachment hardware but the clips.)
The wife reports that the interior, especially the upholstery, was significantly cooler inside when she left work than the day before without the shade.
If the Tesmanian one is of similar quality, then this one is priced more in line with what you get.
I am happy enough paying $56 for this $40 shade! LOL Part of the deal when you buy a first year model.

I don't know if I just received a defective product but mine looked like poo! Its saggy and does not fit. I posted a review on Amazon but I DO NOT recommend this product at all!

Wow, sorry yours is not so good! Mine does not look like that at all! Maybe I got lucky?
The fit is not 100% perfect, but I don't have that large gap or the wrinkling. There is some sag in the middle, which seems inevitable for something that large that is supported by a spring steel frame that is foldable.

Update: Mine was shipped on 9/9 and was delivered 9/14. As has been earlier stated, it is a nice tight fit and stays in place without having to flip the visors. I got the "chrome camo" finish with the premium edge banding and slip case. I like it.

Did it take them forever to make yours? I ordered on 8/1 and it was supposed to ship 9/10. Then they pushed it to 10/1. Hopefully it actually goes out next Friday. ? ?
