Anyone mount their front license plate using Sto N Sho bracket?

There are some that say they won't shatter. That is the kind I purchased.

I got a replacement plate and different plastic backer. It is nearly 1/8” thick, I hope it lasts. I had to round the corners a bit and enlarge the bolt holes.
