Apple Map weirdness

Has anyone figured out why the Apple map’s position chevron jumps around in route preview mode?
It’s fine if I clear or start that route.
It looks like it keeps going back to where I started the car.

No idea. But an educated guess may be that at the Maps is trying to scale for the screen and jumping between two resolutions in the background. The chevron remains the same size at all scales but its position may move. Either way, it’s janky and Not So Great.

I’ve noticed a lot more screwiness and lag with apples maps lately. It is odd.
