Are the OEM splash guards being cancelled?

So, I ordered the OEM splash guards from Ford, and got the front ones. The back ones are still "processing" almost a month later. I decided to go on eBay and Ford has them listed with 3 in stock, so I ordered them there to see if I could get them there. After a week sitting there waiting to be shipped, they refunded the payment and cancelled the transaction. I haven't heard anything back from them on if I will ever get the ones I ordered from the accessory site. Has anyone heard if these were cancelled? Would be nice to know if I have to go aftermarket.

I bought the ones on Amazon from BestEVmods. Paid under $35 for the complete set (front and rear). Perfect fit and no drilling!!! And they even included the plastic rivet body tool! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09KTFPZC1?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

They look great and they survived a very hard Cleveland winter, still looking like new.

I might have to go that route if I can't get the back ones now. Although, I did find a seller from Canada that said they had 4 pairs of the back in stock and at about half the price as from Ford (confirmed and not just listed as in stock, at least so they said) and I ordered from there. Ended up buying two sets and if they actually ship, I'll cancel the Ford Accessory order. Just really weird that I ordered the ones from the accessories site a month ago, it still says they'll ship in 3 days, and nothing. And, the official Ford eBay seller says they have 3 sets available in stock but cancelled my order.

Good luck with your orders!

The cheap ones from Amazon were an experimental purchase. They came with a high rating, and once I saw them, I was very pleasantly surprised.

Installing the front set was easy because all I needed to do was cut the wheels. To do the back ones, I needed to jack up the car and remove the back wheels. If you do it, make sure that you re-torque the lug nuts to 150-160 foot pounds. Oh, and I used a hockey puck on my jack to do the lifting.

I bought the same ones and installed them on my daughters 2023 Premium 2 years ago (she drives over 20k miles/year) and on my 2023 GT last year. They have survived in NE Ohio winters with no issues, and also survived my daughters driving, which is a real achievement!

Installed these same ones and didn't need to jack up the car/remove wheels. At any rate, I'm happy with them. Interesting that all the responses to this thread so far come from NE Ohio!

I didn't need to jack up the car or remove the wheels, they were quite easy to install (the AOSK ones, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09KTFPZC1). I drive 22 miles each way to work, over half of which is on the interstate driving 70 MPH. They really do make a difference keeping debris off the car, especially during the crappy winter months in NE Ohio. I also like the contour of the vehicle better with them installed.

Why even bother.
I can't speak for anyone else, but the roads where we live are terrible, and the Camaro and Tremor I had before this had all sorts of paint chips around the wheels due to the tires picking up rocks and throwing them against the sides of the vehicles. And, while I'm not in NE Ohio (SW here LOL), having all the snow/ice/salt from the roads during winter fling up is not ideal. Not to mention that when they plow the snow here, it tears the roads up even worse.... If we lived somewhere that they actually cared about the road conditions I wouldn't bother, but it's almost a necessity here.

Do these actually help that much? I decided against them for fear of losing highway efficiency.

I'm no expert, but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.... from what I've read so far the flaps/guards that are close to flush with the side of the car virtually have no affect on range. The ones that stick out further might affect it adversely, but I haven't seen actual numbers one way or another. I would assume that Ford designed the OEM to have as little affect on it as possible, since the designed the car and the splash guards, but that coild be a bad assumption. I don't drive enough to worry about 270 miles per full charge versus 267, so any net negative is moot.

They are much more useful with the stock size tires/wheels on the GT than they are with wider ones. They work fine with the stock tires/wheels on the Selects and Premiums. I have the AOSK splash guards on my GT and even with 275s on 10x9.5" rims they keep the car relatively clean. 😁🐩
