Periodically, the Sync Assistant has been activating in my Mach E without any button presses or verbal activation. There have been times it has been completely silent in the car even and the assistant has activated. Has anyone else seen this happen? Not sure if I am somehow bumping something unwittingly that might be activating it or if there is some sort of bug.

Same here happens with the Google assistant on Android Auto and with the Ford sync assistant

Has been happing once or twice almost every time I drive. Nothing in particular seems to be setting it off. Hasn't been so annoying that I will do anything yet. Going to wait till the end of the year for ford to figure out to to get OBD updates done correctly and all the dealers up to speed.

Mine would activate frequently during a conversation in the car or listening to a podcast. I disabled the wake word because I don't want the thing listening to everything I say anyway, but since then it hasn't happened. Incidentally I disabled both the car's wake word and the phone's. I can press a button

Me too. I think sometimes it hears something similar on the radio - other times, who knows? Mine also sometimes randomly activates routing home. Haven’t figured that one out.

Here is what I have seen, it happened today and can be duplicated. Simply say OK, and it activates, a passenger in my car said that today and it came on, I said that to my daughter the other day and it came on also. The wake word on my car it set to "OK Ford", but it seems to not need the word Ford added to it. I may try to set a different wake word.

Mine used to do it periodically too so I just turned off the hot word recognition and it hasn't done it again since! I'm totally fine to just push the button on the steering wheel when I want it
