auto fold mirror feature does not work!

The auto fold feature in my Mach -e GT 2024 stopped working all of a sudden yesterday night. I checked but there have been no software updates, and even after resetting and using the fold button on the door, it refuses to fold or open when the vehicle is started or shut off. Is anyone else facing a similar issue with auto fold? Any idea what is causing the auto fold to fail? Thanks!

I'd check if the Driver profile is correct. Can you check if the profile is set as 'guest'?

This happened to me last 2 weeks ago. They would not unfold. I stopped the car, cut off the car and restarted, then they worked. Have not had any problems since.

Mirror auto-fold is a setting in the vehicle menu. Some software updates turn this feature off. If that happens, all you have to do is turn the setting back on.

When you see autofold not working, manually fold and unfold the mirrors by pressing the button on the drivers side door (at least for U.S. Cars).

I'm told that sometimes the mirrors can become "out of calibration" and that a mirror fold/unfold will fix it.

At least it did for me last night. Also resulted in fixing the puddle light which had stopped working.

This keeps happening to my 23 GT. About once a week the autofold stops working. I have to turn off and back on the feature in the settings and manually fold and unfold them to get it working. It's getting quite frustrating.

Maybe there is another thread on this ... I recently turned the auto folding mirror feature on. I wish I never had. Now despite turning it off in the menu, they keep folding. I pass my car a lot in the garage to empty trash, let out the dogs, so they are constantly opening. Any ideas how to get the feature to stop even after turning it off in the menu?

This doesn’t seem right at all. The mirrors shouldn’t unfold until you open a door. The lighting should turn on as you approach but the mirrors shouldn’t unfold.

Maybe it's my PAAK causing them to open. Posted in another thread as well. Apparently there's something with the profiles going on. I started car, pressed my setting 1 on the seat memory, opened the settings menu, chose my profile even though that was the one that was active, changed the settings and it held!

My puddle lights still don't show when I approach. My marker lights and interior lights come on, justs no puddle lights.

Note that @MightyMike ’s suggestion was to use the manual button on the drive’s door. Opening and closing and that might also fix the puddle lights.

Also, it has to be quite dark to see them.

But like they said in the other thread make sure you check all the profiles. I would even select the one you haven’t associated with a profile.
