I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and my wife has a 13, both running iOS 16. I was able to set up both on PaaK a couple weeks ago when we got our car without any issues. Had wireless CarPlay and that set up and going too.

Not saying that to be like, nah nah, just that if you want it to work and don't want the dealer visit, it unfortunately may be worth the master reset. I suspect you may have an iPhone 14 or something to that effect, but there isn't anything special about the 14 over 13 when it comes to bluetooth as it is just down to the bluetooth version and profile used in the Mach-E, which will be the same for either phone. So if you've tried everything on the phone end it may just be master reset time sadly.

Good luck on them doing that. I do understand that there are dozens of phone models and OS versions and bla bla, so it isn't easy to be compatible to all of what's out there. but lets be honest, PAAK has never really worked very well on a large scale. It has been iffy right from the beginning. Reliable technology really isn't as advanced as most people assume.
haven't carried a fob since we bought the car. Neither has my wife.

I think is less that it doesn't work and more understanding how to make it work and how to use it better. For example phone in my back pocket when walking up to my car works 50% of the time, but front pocket or in hand 90% success that it instantly works, 99% that it works after a second push.

I would agree its not flawless but worth it IMO.

I think everyones best shot at getting it to work are the smart people hear who likely have experienced the problem you are having and can help. That's why I am here, to get help and help when possible.

Whenever i had to reset up my PAAK after the app crashed or something, I found the PAAK setup doesnt copy the code, i had to type it in each time. Thats my only suggestion besides what posted above.
It doesn't give me that option.

Make sure both Mach-e connections are removed in your phone's Bluetooth settings and the phone is removed from the MME. Restart your phone and turn the car off, open the door, close the door, wait 1 minute and then turn it on.

Pair your phone normally to the MME, say yes to CarPlay.

After you're paired, go to your phone's settings and make sure Personal Hotspot is off then go to General > CarPlay > Mustang Mach-E > Turn off CarPlay

If you'd like, turn your car off and on again so the phone connects via Bluetooth only.

Now do the PaaK setup, make sure you have CELL COVERAGE, don't do this in a parking structure or low signal area. Should work fine as CarPlay won't interfere with the Bluetooth connection for Paak.

Once you're done, go back to settings and turn CarPlay back on.

Please note: You should NOT need to do all this, but I ran into an issue same as yours where I could not get past the copy and paste code portion, disabling CarPlay and making sure I had solid cell service finally allowed it to continue on.
Good suggestions, and followed, but it doesn't work for me. I'll just carry the FOB and forget about this PAAK feature that clearly is flawed and should just work, and not make you hope and pray and wish and fight it. Not worth any more trouble. but thanks everyone for trying to help!

After owning my MME for 14 months, I finally decided to set up PAAK. No issues with the setup and it has worked fine for me for the past 3 days. Also just received OTA 3.5.3 this afternoon and PAAK is still functioning. (I sure hope this post does not jinx me)

After the 3.5.3 update I was able to complete PAAK even thorugh I had to resetup carplay for the 100th time. . Now I see Alexa doesn't work with a wifi connection, so useless unless you want to pay Ford for a data connection after 3 months. no thanks. In any case, I find the in Sync setup screens for Paak and Bluetooth and Carplay to be confusing at best. Really not very well thought out.

Huh? Alexa is free for 3 years. (but not streaming)
Yes, but if want to get Alexa setup, you need the paid (3 month trial) connection it says. I tried hotspot or wifi didn't work. Still says network missing.

Did you purchase a used car?

I was able to setup Alexa while far from home, and use it throughout my drive. I don't subscribe to any of the at&t services.

Maybe something's wrong with the car's modern? It could explain why paak setup is failing for you.

I can get car play to work and I can get Ford Pass to see the car and lock the doors, but I can not get PAAK to complete. After copying the code in PAAK setup, it always fails after a few minutes. I have removed my phone and started from scratch at least 12 times to no avail. This is not something I can bring in to my dealer since I'm not leaving my phone obviously, and they won't sit there and help me while I wait, so I guess I'm just out of lick on this?

Ford says that carplay should not be enabled when setting up PAAK. Is that correct? I have tried without car play on at least once or twice unsuccessful though.
if you have several/partial/failed attempts to set up PAAK, you have to un-install FordPass completely from phone and phone from MME (both regular BT pairing and the PAAK pairing) and re setup as if it's brand new delivery.

I just did PAAK and Profile setup, on a Unihertz Titan Slim (Chinese Blackberry knock off!)

I left my Key at home today...

I wont tomorrow.

It seems I have to have the app open and running or it just does not want to work... that is very silly in my mind, as I just want to "have my phone" and it work...like the fob, ya know, like one logically would think.

I will most likely hold off on PAAK until I get an iPhone... my wife wants the new one, and I guess I finally need to give up my physical keyboard

PAAK has to be set up, BT has to be on, and the FordPass app has to be running for PAAK to work as you approach.....

once PAAK and backup codes have been set up, you could lose or forget your phone, get into the MME with pillar code, and 'start' MME using Backup code entered on screen.

I keep my Fob wrapped up in Foil hidden inside the vehicle so I can hand it to Valet or Service so I don't have to give them my phone.
