I can’t speak directly about the Hankook tires, but the reason I went up to 275 section width from 245 was to at least maintain the level of grip the Summer UHP tires had vs. the all-season UHP tires I went to. I can’t speak directly say that I wasn’t disappointed in my choice. ??
And just think what you can do with 275 UHP summer tires. ?

I’ve never had winter bother summer tires and I’ve ran summer tires for 55 winters now with no issues whatsoever now running winter tires in the summer yes that heat will eat them right up
Winter absolutely degrades performance of summer tires. Just because you did not notice does not mean you did not experience degraded performance..

How was the process? I hear lots of tire manufacturers give you a hard time for warranty as it’s hard to determine defect vs abuse. My Michelin PS4S came with a treadlife warranty but I didn’t fathom ever using it as I tracked the car.

America’s tire offered me a refund themselves when I went for my tire rotation. The process was smooth

+1 avoid.

I now have a nice conversation starter piece of anti-noise foam that used to be inside one of my front tires.

1 year warranty according to the dealer who ordered and put them on, expired a few months ago. I went back since I have the ford extended warranty anyway from "2021 software-quality-wasn't job 1" problems and I didn't know it was foam at the time. They did me a solid and covered the diag, so I got out with no pocketbook damages.

Mostly I'm annoyed about this because I wasn't able to get it solved before a day trip a couple hours away last weekend.

Are you upset because the foam inside the tire came off and caused an issue (out of balance tire)?

Correct. Balled itself up after separating and caused steering shake above 40 mph, getting violent at interstate speeds.

The reason I asked, is because you shouldn't say Hankooks are bad tires because the foam came off. The foam can come off any tire that has them. I have had two Pirelli and one Michelin tires have the foam come off inside and cause the same balance issue. I still use both manufactures for my tires regardless. It is not super common but it happens. Most all Tesla OEM tires have foam no matter what manufacturer it is and the Tesla forums have a lot of complaints of the foam coming loose. I think manufacturers are getting better at attaching the foam inside but if anyone is worried about this, I would suggest removing the foam inside the tire prior to them being mounted. Hankooks are still a very good tire foam or no foam.
