Had the same feelings back in Sept, at least the key is more secure. Ford UK said they will replace it once they enhanced the key not sure I believe that its been a couple of months. They seems to only move on class actions vs a 1k dissaptioned customers. The other disappointment for me was no PAAK(phone as a key) and WAL(walk away locking), the rest of the world get these features and I believe the Bluetooth module is actually not included in the UK models, I could not see it on the cars network via FDRS, vs US cars who have the hardware so no future software updates for the uk,the only country in the world without these features.

Ummm, the last time I checked, vehicles are not purchased or driven based on the key or key fob.
First world problems.

I was quite bummed by the FOB. I love the car, but I was quite sad seeing it compared to my old civic key fob or my wife's palisade. It has less functions then both and is twice the size. Why does it have to be so freaking large?

It's disappointing how nearly none of the responses fit the OP's situation.

The key provided to UK customers isn't the same as the one you got with your Mach-E. It's significantly smaller and has a Ford logo. It looks the same as the key I received with my 2014 Ford Fiesta.

UK customers also don't have access to Phone as a Key.

I’m curious about that too. It’s not a huge deal, but you’d think it’s the sort of thing that would become less bulky over time just as most other electronics have gotten more compact compared to say 10 and 20 years ago.

Here you go - the UK Mach-E key fob in all it’s glory ? They come complete with the standard Mustang blank inserts that fit the “normal“ fob supplied everywhere else. You get handed these on delivery and go - what the ? is that? ???

I’m gonna go hide in the corner now for fear of reigniting #keygate

On the plus side they are quite compact, and live in your pocket or bag most of the time, so it’s not exactly in your face 24/7

Vile, really, you just bought a new Mach E that so many of us are patiently waiting for and you want to spend time focused on the key fob? Yeah dude it is just you, you are seriously concentrating on probably one of the most miniscule details you could about the vehicle!

What are the reasons UK customers not getting PaaK? Legal/compliance?

Open them up to change the battery and you'll see how much smaller it could be made. I'm convinced somebody bought someone at ford a really nice dinner and next thing you know, we're all saddled with these ungainly things.

They look like they are about half the size of the keys we get here. No, the huge lump in my pants does not mean I am happy to see you. It is my Ford Fob!

The most likely reason the UK does not have PaaK is government regulations. I am willing to bet your salary (?) that Ford wanted to include those features, but some UK bureaucrat would not approve it. Blame your government, not Ford, IMO.
