Backup camera turns off mid-reverse

I searched the forum and didn’t see any other posts about this. A couple of times in the last few days, my rear view camera stops as I’m reversing and the main screen switches to my radio stations, like it does automatically when I shift from R to D. The problem is that I’m still going backwards and haven’t even hit the brake, much less changed gears. I stop, switch from R to anything else and then back again, and my camera view comes back. But it’s annoying. Anyone else had this issue?
I’m hoping it’s a setting I need to change or some other quick fix, though I know I didn’t make any changes on my end.

I've had it happen 2 times in 13 months with two different MMEs. Sometimes I'll have it all go black for 3-5 seconds then come back. The latter happens weekly if not more.

Its safety recall material if it is doing it on a lot of vehicles...

Yes, I get it now and then. Not too often. Sometimes it goes black, sometimes it overlays random things over the camera, and occasionally it drops all the way back to the radio. It seems like it has become more prevalent with recent updates. Still not regularly though.

I have experienced the backup camera display going black a few times. The area outside of the place where the backup camera display is on the screen continued to display whatever was on it at the time the backup camera went black. ???

Anything other than the camera view when in R is a fault and should get fixed. If you are still in the bumper to bumper warranty period then it should be covered.

Has happened to me quite a few times, last time the backup image stayed stuck on for 20 minutes of driving after sync crashed.

After it happening three times in three days, which is when I made this post, it hasn’t happened again and I’ve taken almost 20 trips. However, last night my big screen went blank mid-trip. I turned my car off and on and it came back. I’m calling the dealership to get it looked at.
