I was in my shop loading the car for a trip, wanted to check charging and preheat times. No keys or phone, so used the door code and backup start to get into the system. Locked it up and walked away. Over the course of the next 9 hours, 657 emails and app notifications arrived, roughly every 45 seconds. I noticed it when I woke up (at 400+) and tried lock/unlock/remote start, none stopped it, until we started with the key it to leave. Coverage in the shop may be an issue, although there was enough coverage to know it happened? I know that I have tried to change the charge settings from my house with my phone and they don’t always get through to the car. After the fact, less time would have been spent going back across the yard to get a key than delete all of the messages.

Thank you all

Kenny

So, to be clear, you used your backup passcode? ?

So it’s not a known “you just need to remote start from your cell phone with your big toe while doings a 1 handed handstand” type of thing.

More likely karma. It knows my weight from when I sit in the seat and it wants me to walk back to the house to get a key (and exercise) instead of using a handy feature.
Or did it know that I was about to leave it outdoors in cold WI when I was going to Florida without it.

take your pick. Here is your punishment. ?

AI is the future, and it gets moody!

Yup, just moody. I got home from a trip and had time to test it tonight. Only one message, then peace and quiet.

This reminds me of when the iPhone was launched and there were stories of 500 page AT&T bills being sent in boxes to frequent testers. Seems AT&T thought it would be a good idea to itemize every text message, even though they were all free. ?
