Bad at parking?

Am I the only one?

I’ve had this car for 2 1/2 years. I’ve never had this issue with any other car I’ve owned.

But I just can’t figure out how to park this dang car straight within the lines of a parking lot!

I don’t know if it’s the weird sloping and bumpy hood or what. But half the time I park, I’m nowhere near straight and even in the parking spot. ?‍

I'm with ya on this, I've been driving for forty plus years and I just can't park this car sometimes without using the camera to show me if I'm in the lines or not.

And it becomes a self profiling prophecy, without 360 cameras I used to learn my cars dimensions and how to park well, with them on both cars I dont bother, I dont learn, I just rely on the tech and if it didnt work I would just park elsewhere. In 20 years the only people who will be able to park are the old school antique car people.

they'll be sitting alongside all of us that know how to drive manuals!

I thought it was just me! I can't park this car..it feels like I'm driving a tank and I can't see out of these little windows. It's not just matching the dotted lines, it's determining the right time and angle to turn into the parking spot. Thanks for all the comments ...I feel encouraged to try harder to figure it out. I think I am sitting too low so I will raise the seat to try to get more of a feel for the car's position. Maybe looking at the camera pictures is disorienting..it is a crutch. Also, practice more often, as I have sort of given up.

Thanks. I am not the only one. I have been driving for over 55 years, never had this kind of difficulty. Sedans, wagons, SUVs, trucks, 240Z's (look up 263Z, pronounced Zed). I think it's the layout of the geometry of the location of the wheels with regards to the 4 corners. I can't sense where the curbs and lines are. Gotta go use the 360!

Parking between the lines has not been a problem. Overshooting the space so I encroach on the opposite parking space is a problem. I am starting to use the cameras to back up out of the other space.

I think I’ve narrowed down my specific issue-

It’s turning to the right into a parking spot with just lines and no cars near me without using the 360 camera.

I end up crooked, not centered and or not all the way in the space.

If turning left or if cars next to the spot I have no issues with spacing.

1Pedal backing down (especially) a steep driveway is disconcerting the first few times you do it. You can't let the car 'idle coast', using the accelerator just a little and 'just so' is a new trick for this old dog!

I turn on 360 degree cameras every time, I use the screen more than looking out windows, lines up perfect every time.
