Parking light?

In Europe, every car must be equiped with the "one-side parking light" feature, so you can leave the parking light only on one side of the car (normally, the side of the car closer to the street). I know that on VW for the european market, you activate this feature by turning off the car and then pressing the turn signal stalk on the side you want the parking light activated. My old Mercedes B-Class had that feature. So you probably pressed by mistake on the turn signal stalk after the car was turned off.

That’s what I was thinking too. The turn signal stalk was probably still on.

It also said the lights default to auto every time the car is turned on. (Not sure if ours does that.)

Yes, ours default to auto also.

Parking lights were activated with the turn signal stalk on the Focus MK3, so chances are it is the same with the Mach E

Thanks everyone. In the end it was the indicator stalk that does it when the cars off. Mystery solved.
