Hey guys so I just wanted to throw out an update on what’s been going. Last time I posted on here I had to replace the hvbj box for the second time. Then in June 16th the car had to in the dealer for three days because I got the same warning hvb warning and powertrain failure, dealer returned the car and said it needed the modules to update. Then Monday on my way to work the issues came back on and so Tuesday after a 12hr shift I dropped the car off at 8am. The dealer has now updated me today to let me know that this time they had to reprogram the modules and they just wanna test drive it for road test. All this within a 1year and a half . So now I am wondering what is causing this to happen? Anyone with ideas?

Your patience is well beyond my comprehension and abilities. I wish I could offer some insight. Hang in there my brother.

It means the BECM is still detecting a high voltage drop across the contactors. For some reason, it seems like some vehicles seem prone to multiple HVBJB replacements. One of the "updates" they do can reconfigure the HVBJB to be less sensitive, they probably tried that.

Every once a a while you get a bad replacement HVBJB, sounds like that might be the case so you might need a third replacement.

BECM count reset maybe?

In case they didn't do that the first time around.

There's a tool for that now in FDRS.

Hey, Daniel! I can take a closer look into your battery module concerns if you'd like. Can you send us a direct message with your VIN and the dealership name/location? To send a private message, just click on our username and select "Start Conversation".
