One of those click bait articles with 5 EVs and the MME is on it. Audi might be good looking to some and not quite under $50K but the others on the list are boring.

I think for a mid sized sport electric SUV there's not anything better looking in this price range?

I somewhat like the new Cadillac Optiq and it might be close to $50K but Cadillac does the boxy transformers look? The Optiq-V series is going to be around $70K to compete with a $50K MME GT

The new Porsche Cayenne EV is in our size range but is good looking not great looking for a vehicle over $100K.

I'm seriously looking to upgrade to a GT from my Premium after one year of ownership. If you are going to do that you should check the market for better, faster, more good looking and I have. I just don't see anything I would get in for this price that looks great.

I even like the "weird" Hyundai Ionic 5 -even though the Kia EV6 is better looking. But neither look great as you walking up to it coming out of the grocery store as the MME.

Some have better, faster charging, or V2H but the bells and whistles don't overcome boxy.

I think white, gray, and black vehicles look horrible.

80% of people buy one of those 3 colors.

Looks are subjective.

That’s how we ended up with another Mach-E after 2 years. Premium looked good on paper and appealed to my sensibilities as a middle aged man who (I thought) was immune to midlife crisis. But apparently not. So we ended up with a GT 🤷🏻‍♂️. The only saving grace is that the 24 and beyond GTs are considerably better than older ones.

Since I keep my car's 5 years or longer, I like to think I would keep the GT that long.

But I am getting old and have a limited number of cars before they take away my license or we get in flying drones to travel everywhere around town.

Definitely subjective I have the black mme and it's beautiful even when it's dirty if it's dark you don't notice.

During the child raising years I think I ended up with two gray cars in a row buying off the lot. So I swore off gray ever again and now they start to come out with silver gray and different gray colors that are actually good looking.

White's a good color if you're going to wrap it maybe? But Ford wants $995 for the star white color which I get a kick out of. I wouldn't pay extra for gray or white or even black for that matter.

This touches so many nerves.... 😅
Just because you're at a point in your life that you can responsibly afford something fun, and then GET something fun, does not qualify as a mid-life crisis. Buying something impulsively that makes you happy doesn't qualify either. Enjoy your car guilt free, my friend.

As an owner of a 23, I’m genuinely curious why you think the 24 is considerably better. I know about the heat pump, but what else?

Is the GT significantly less bouncy than the Premium?

The 24 GT had a couple of important improvements over 21-23s: more efficient front motors + better thermal management and 2) tweaked magneride suspension. The first “effectively eliminated” or significantly delayed 5-sec power cutoff, so it is technically faster 0-60 and has less jail bars. So my torque is a bit higher than yours and is sustained for longer.

The 24s don’t have heat pumps, but I think have a higher capacity heater. So I have a full frunk (not that I use it).

Oh yes. Less bouncy and more composed. Handles corners better and feels lighter although it is not.

Me buying something and “impulsive” can’t be combined in one sentence. We have private school tuition to pay. I get impulsive with a turntable and a couple of Madonna records. That’s the extent of my impulsiveness. Everything else gets cleared with the financial advisor first 😅. Luckily, I was plenty impulsive in my youth when you can make bigger mistakes with less consequences and thoroughly enjoyed it 😎.

I live in the South. I selected a white 2019 I-Pace, when I bought it new. This was to keep the cabin temps low, when getting in the car at work after dayshift was always a sauna event. I retired soon after buying it. And it lived in the garage, when it wasn't being driven. So, I realized the body temperature wasn't as critical, as it used to be. When Jag bought it back, I chose a blue Rally Mach e. And like the Jag, it hardly ever sits outside very long. Conclusion If you live up North and are working, it makes sense to buy a black car. If you live down South and are working it makes sense to buy a white car. If it is going to sit in a garage in the daytime, it doesn't matter that much, as to the color. The Jag used to get +comments all the time from people over 30. The Mach E only gets +comments from kids!

While I have only owned 3 black cars, the car I have owned the longest of any car is my black ‘79 T/A. Of course, that could be due to the race car suspension or the big torquey Pontiac under the hood and not the color. 🤷‍♂️🐩

As far as grey goes, one of the best looking cars I have ever seen was grey - my buddy’s ‘Palladium Silver 70-1/2 Firebird Formula. That hood with silver and the body shape… Man! And let’s not forget the car in my avatar, which I would buy if I had an extra million or so hanging around doing nothing. 🤣🐩

I’ve also owned a number of white cars too. My ‘14 Fusion Energi looked good in white. I have had a couple of white ‘70-1/2 and ‘71 T/As (Pontiac let you have any color you wanted, as long as is was white with a blue stripe or blue with a white stripe since in the early days of road racing those were USA racing colors). I can’t say I like the blue or the white better. Mine were white because that was the more common color. My street Celica was also white with blue stripes. 😁🐩
