I don’t know if it makes it difference but to tell you the truth it almost seems like if you can only go front to back and your driving an all wheel drive car I’m sure the front will wear a little bit more than the rear from turning, but you could probably almost get away with not even rotating them at all I don’t know?
Here is from Michelins website. It's best for wear on AWD that tire rotate from slide to side not just front to rear.

Yeah, I’m just not liking the idea of dismounting the tire from the wheel you know with custom wheels the less you can touch those after you getting them mounted the better they’ll look in the future.
Very few people dismount to rotate. If you are wondering what tire manufacturers make directional tires it's because it's the best tread pattern for performance in the wet. When you look at winter tires almost all on the market are directional because to make the tread supple / plyable in below freezing temps most manufacturers add oil. Oil and water repel each other so a directional tread pattern is to compensate for the effect oil has on performance in wet conditions.

I guess it’s kind of like having a staggered set with 315s on the back and 275’s upfront, because I’ve always been gas powered mustangs. I’m used to that so this is something new.

Makes sense but regular mustangs are not AWD so it's actually less important to 4 tire rotate or more important depending on your right foot.

Think about that too staggered fit applications get their tire milage warranty cut in half

Love my Hankook EV tires. I've had them for 20k miles now and would for sure buy them again.

Well, after all that, I decided to go with the Hankook, too. I guess I've been sold on the marketing, but the Hankook "iON evo" appear to be the Goldilocks I'm looking for. Seeing lots of praise from EV owners concerning their low rolling resistance and low noise, but still has a 50,000mi warranty. And, they have a 103V XL rating suitable for heavy EVs.

Next question... when you guys replaced your tires, did you have to do anything / pay anything extra re the TPMS sensors?

I'm going to use Wal-Mart because I like their $28/tire install service which includes road hazard protection. That's the best bargain I've found on install + warranty. I've actually used their road hazard coverage in the past with no hassles.

The TPM sensors are paired to the car. If your using the same wheels nothing needs to be done. If you got new wheels have the shop transfer them to the new wheels.

When it was time for new tires on mine O went for the “same” tires in a higher spec.

The Michelin Primacy MXM4’s have been great with a noticeably better ride comfort.

I can’t say I have noticed any drop on ramge.

Surprised that "traction" doesn't make the top-5 in terms of priorities. Tires are the interface between the car and the ground - higher traction means better braking performance, better ability to avoid obstacles, and reduced chance of losing control of the vehicle in the event of an emergency maneuver.

And higher rolling resistance. It's pretty linerally correlated with grip. Better grip almost always means less efficient tires. I say "almost always" because they are coming up with new compounds and tread patterns to reduce that dependency. But you can't avoid physics.

At end of the day, any set of new tires is gonna meet basic safety standards and be a damn site better than my current ones.

I elected all-season because we get enough rain/snow/ice in KS to make that somewhat important, but it’s not like I live in Michigan.

I didn’t want super sticky tires because I struggle enough as it is with range on infrequent road trips, so I prioritized low rolling resistance.

And at $1,200 installed I don’t want to be replacing every two years, so treadlife matters. And with the stiff ride comfort matters. And I like quiet, too.

I just got my Mach-e so have not shopped for tires for it, but I have owned Ford SUVs for many years. Most recently I owned three generations of Escape Hybirds and a Ford Edge. When it came time to replace the tires of these vehicles, I replaced Michelins with Continental Cross Contact 25 tires on my second generation Escape and the Edge. My wife and I found the Continentals to ride more smoothly and quietly than the OEM Michelin tires. The Contis have great winter traction for our Minnesota winters. And when it comes time to get new tires for the MME I will look for the Contis again.

I had Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max tires on a Subaru. They were relatively inexpensive, very long lasting (almost 100K miles) and the noisiest tires I have ever owned. Grip was just OK.
