BlueCruise dropping out when driving into the sun

2023 Mache Premium. I travel every week up I40 (North) and the next week down I40 (south). Traveling North Blue Cruise (BC) works fine. Traveling South BC tends to drop out. So far I can only attribute the issue to driving into the Sun- so glare maybe. BC drop out does not give an alert that I can hear (my Nissan does)

Yup. It happens. It might just drop down to hands-on BC which won’t give you a warning until it senses no steering inputs after some amount of time. If it completely kicks off there is a chime, I think. Could be louder though.

If the camera cannot see the lines, then handsfree isn't allowed. Glare, faded, non-existent. All cause it to disconnect.

Would be great if there was an audible noise.

I am happy it does this, know your limits and stay within them. I prefer this approach to over-confident systems.

Just be glad you aren't getting the freak out panic alert where it mutes your radio and blasts a siren at full volume:

Driving dead into the sun when the sun is at the horizon is the Achilles heel of these systems... the MME struggles, the Tesla struggles... Something other than off the shelf cameras are needed here for reliable operation under these conditions... the cameras need the functional equivalent of a sun visor.
