Is anyone else experiencing the Blue Cruise pulling to the left, basically driving up to the line? I have to manually pull it away from the edge or the car next to me pulls over. I told the dealer and got blank stares and was told there was no adjustment for that. Seems the cameras might be out of alignment.

Yup, except mine pulls to the right. I think it depends what lane you're in, it wants to pull to the center of the road. Drives me nuts too. It's great fun holding it constantly so you don't sideswipe cars and then let go which sends it shooting into the other lane and sets off the lane alert. Really dumb software, you shouldn't be propelled into the next lane when you let go of the wheel.

I believe the system is intended to sit just right of center of the lane.
Riding on the left line is definitely in the minority here, and I would request the cameras be recalibrated. Especially if you have recently gotten the recall windshield replacement done.

Mine pulls to the right generally, which is super annoying when there’s a car there. I’d rather be closer to the edge of the road than other cars personally.

BUT, what I found out is that if I try to fight it, the car will continue fighting with me. If I let it go just briefly to the point that it overshoots, it will correct more towards the middle and stop pulling to the right. The trick is to let it realize it’s making a mistake on its own.

Exactly, you have to gently ease off so it learns. I think it's a bug in the Pull-Drift Compensation algorithm. It should know you're applying counter torque from the wheel so it should help you rather than fight you. Maybe somebody flipped a sign in the program for the torque input variable or something, who knows.

Before the Mach-e, I had a habit of driving close to the white, right edge marker. Mine also likes to sit closer than I like to the yellow centerline. But it only takes a gentle pull to move it further right when a car is passing by, then let it move closer to the left line the rest of the time. It helps me pay attention to the traffic ?.

As mentioned above, much more common is "zeroing" on the right lane line, but regardless, you need to let it do this so the algo can correctly determine lane center. Once it has zeroed, it will then center and be as stable as conditions will allow, i.e. wind, road roughness, and curves.

You want to be strategic about when you do this. I generally don't allow this to occur unless the road conditions are pretty straight and there isn't any traffic to my immediate right. In heavy traffic this means timing when you allow the drift with the gaps in traffic.. It's cautious approach, but I have had situations where it fails on the zero and can violate the next lane. it's usually obvious even before that happens and the software will generate an ominous red and white graphic on the console along with an alert sound, so as long as you're prepared for this possibility it's not a big deal.

I find mine pulls to the left when passing a large truck. It was never so far to the left that I had to manually correct.

Lol, glad everyone’s on the same page now. Might want to edit the title so that future people who have the right drift issue (me included) can easily search for and find this thread.

This is my experience as well. I'll activate when I put the car close to the right lane and let car get it's reference point, after that it pretty much stays centered.

Yes, it is quite annoying too. Mine also feels drunk sometimes as it bounces around in the lane quite often.

As I mentioned above, this behavior is dependent on the conditions, with wind and road surface roughness being the biggest factors I've noticed. In my experience in good weather on straight smooth roads with light traffic, it actually stays pretty centered with very little to no wander. In fast moving traffic, particularly when I'm passing other cars, it understandably will wander, but not unnervingly so.

As for high speed curves and long benders I take command. On the latter it's more for my sensibility about the line that should be taken, on the former it's just plain safer.

As has been mentioned, these are driver assist features.

Ought to be interesting to see how lane change goes down in '23.
