Personally I dont see the fuss. I honestly think it needs major improvements before I pay for it a second time with some BS micro transaction that should've never been a thing in the first place.

it bounces all over the lane, and constantly makes me feel like its gonna hit another vehicle in a side lane, it cant handle seeing an exit ramp and cancels for it, the eye nanny is absolute garbage and constantly going off even when I am watching the road. Its follow distance and speed adjustments are terrible and constantly make me feel like I could get into an accident. It doesnt change lanes and it very well could, with all the other features its got, it more than totally could.

Still waiting for it to come via OTA, but I will have it for free for a year to decide whether or not it is worth it?
Those were my thoughts as well. My car says it has BC but it doesnt work. Probably some glitch with the software of course. Super glad that I didn't have to pay for it when I bought the car.

If the software can't even be installed correctly then what are the chances it will function safely? Certainly won't be anything that I would pay extra for. That much is certain.

Is it legal to use Blue Cruise in NYS?
1226 of the vehicle and traffic law states one hand must be on the wheel when the vehicle is in motion. A bill to change that was introduced several years ago, but I can't find if it was passed and signed by the governor.

Tesla requires one hand on the wheel to use its system.

Two more cents...

I find it works pretty well, given that it doesn't have much to do: Stay in the lane. And it's definitely more relaxing to drive with it than with full-time manual steering.

I'm not having the kind of behavior some are reporting, like it moving wildly within the lane. There are times when it *seems* like it's too far toward the right side, but I think this is because I use the left lane line to gauge where I am, and tend to stay over that way. I forced myself to just relax and deal with it, and so far, no problems.

It does randomly decide I need to get my hands on the wheel -- not from my eyes wandering, it just loses the lane info, often in places that seem to be easy for it to read.

We just travelled by air and rented a car, a RAV4 with lane-keeping and adaptive cruise. It had me grabbing the wheel way more frequently (again, mostly for no obvious reason), so meh. However, its adaptive cruise control was a lot smoother than the Mach-E's (which is, ahem, kind of exciting, but works very well).
