To be fair, that's kind of BMW's signature now. I just don't like how the kidney grills have gotten explosively big these days. I get its part of their look, but an EV doesn't need big slots like that, they could still achieve a look with something a little more streamlined, in my opinion.

All that being said, it seems promising. Their i3 was a nice little car, just suffered from too little range for me (and it was kinda ugly in my opinion). This one looks nice, at least the interior does. I'm not so sure about the exterior, but it is a bit more "normal" than their last electric offering.

One concern is the pricing. The reason why the i3s were so expensive at first was due to the carbon fiber bodies and this one says that they'll be implementing that too. With a full size SUV like that, it will probably throw that pricing way up. Also, above 500hp and only a "sub 5 second" 0-60 makes me think its already pretty heavy even with carbon fiber.

At the end of the day, its nice to see other companies taking EV seriously. We NEED more competition in this market to push the tech forward, make them cheaper to make, evolve battery tech, etc.

Exterior design is polarizing; interior some nice touches; but for 300 mile range what will they charge - $70K plus I assume? Its a 2022 conversation really for me

It looks like the old Subaru Tribeca. That's hideous. What did BMW do to their front end? Yuck.

Looks like they added yuk to a Leaf. Not bad interiors though.

I don’t care if it did 1000 miles. It’s so hideous I wouldn’t even consider it.
Why is this a kink in crossovers and SUVs. VW does it on their ID4 as well. It is not quite a Hofmeister kink but it still ruins the flow and makes the back end look chunky.
