Yes, voluntary. 3.5.2 worked fine, so I turned off software updates over a year ago. It ain't broke, so I don't let them fix it. And I don't need to concern myself with any of this nonsense. Life is too short to spend any of it worrying about software changing - in a car.

This image was exactly what I was talking about. I thought Ford did a good job on it, but I never get to see it.

Working for a large engineering concern, I understand there will be a process. It may never get fixed. I’m not disabling updates, there is too much good stuff in there to rise to that level. That is not the train I am riding. I have no way to know it was an “accident” as some have posited.

My point is that we can and should complain in the right forum. This is one of them. Do we really expect Ford to learn only from the dealer sales team? I desire that this aspect of the experience be addressed.

I don't mind the IPC layout. With the speedo offset it gives me more info instead of some lame drive mode animations.

I drive with the assists on and am stuck with the dumb car picture in the middle, important information crammed together on the right, and a huge “white space” (it’s really dark grey since I have the IPC set to “dark”) on the left. Not at all a symmetrical display and quite ugly. Oh, and I am also one of the ones who finds the speedometer’s position very weird since my right paw blocks part of it so that I have to cranial gymnastics in order to see the entire number. ??

So, while this change will not materially affect me, I don’t like how it is now, and the change just makes it so that turning off the assists is ineffectual at placing the numbers in a legible position. ??

You would think Ford would be smart enough to cover there tracks by removing the Videos from YouTube that show things that we have paid for that have been removed.

Seems excessive to me. Unless I am missing something here. You bought the most technological car Ford makes, turn off a bunch of safety technology for aesthetic reasons and then turn off OTA updates because you may lose the aesthetics you like?
It's your car, do with it as you'd like, just seems very silly to me

After 6.8.

Ok, my GT has always looked like the "after 6.8" picture that you show, what am I doing wrong? I only have co-pilot assist, not BC capable, if that matters. I would rather have the speedo in the center, but I was not aware that is possible. How have I survived all this time looking at the car in the center of the display? ? How do I get it to show the speed in the center ?
Oh and I got 6.7.0 last night...
