Thanks but that sounds like OPD , I'm asking about when using Adaptive cruise control.
If you are using CC and disable it using the steering wheel button, most of the time the lights will not illuminate since the car is not slowing at a high enough rate. If the CC sees traffic and slows the car, most of the time the lights will also not illuminate unless the CC has to slow the car very quickly. ??

I've also wondered about the 1-pedal drive/brake light application strategy. i'm just enough untrusting to tape up a mirror & see for myself....?

I wish it was possible to get a "Brake light" indication on the info screen!
Also some other car models have blinking Brake light for heavy braking and if a car it approaching fast from behind. These would be nice features ?
