CA Rt 1 wheel covers modifications?

Has anyone wrapped, powder coating, or otherwise modified the CA Rt 1 wheel covers to improve the appearance? I'd like to keep the range increase, but would like to get rid of the matte black plastic look of the covers.

Since the covers are plastic, powder coating cannot be done. The covers will melt or at least deform during the curing process. Painting or wrapping would be methods for refinishing the wheel covers that would not damage them.

That's a good point, I probably meant some painting process for plastics that would be durable enough for that location on a vehicle. It's probably one of those things where there isn't a good option and I'll just have to live with the appearance.

Apparently there are techniques for powder coating plastics. No personal experience - just Google Professional Powder Coating for Plastic Parts and Other Items - Spectrum Coating (coatingsbyspectrum.com)

If painting, just be aware that you need to use a durable paint and you can also clear coat like most manufacturers do.

In Prototype they were silver…..I debated painting the covers but after I got my take offs, they look pretty good as is with Matte and Gloss black. Still thinking about it. Steel Gray, bronze, platinum. I even thought of White too, since my car is Star White. If you do paint be sure to use bulldog primer to be sure the paint sticks.
