Hello there DeltaDelta.
Try this, get on top of a mountain or a plateau, if you live out west, set the cruise control or one pedal driving, and roll down from there. The Regen will charge your battery and increase the mileage per kilowatt. That will be much better than try the” what if stupid stuff” that a Tesla fan has tried, just to make a You Tube video.
On the same subject but not exactly what you have asked, some of us would like to “TOW” the Mach E behind an RV to charge the battery on our way to our camping spots.
We got the same answers from Ford.
No…..Hell No.!!!!
Quickest way to destroy motors and void the warranty.
To be honest with you, I am not putting you down, most of us have some wild hairs growing at the base of our buttcracks, that we would like to try Wild and Crazy things.!!!
It is not Logical DeltaDelta.
It is your choice though.!!!!
Has anyone actually tried the charge by towing method? I get Ford's response and suspect a better analysis will suggest you should just DC fast charge it, vice the gas consumed towing.. but i wonder if there is anyone actually trying to figure out if there is a safe way to do it
