Prices for the minerals used for batteries skyrocketed in the last year and a half with Nickel now more valuable than gold, as well as a huge increase in lithium costs.
Ford (as many other automakers) is working on a different combination of elements for their EV batteries in order to reduce costs and make the cars profitable again, as well as being able to produce more batteries do fulfill the demand.

I've got the exact same ETA and my build date is the week of Sept 12 (I ordered from a dealer in Hamilton, ON). If you're somewhere in the same area, perhaps you can deduce that your build date is around the same time (maybe?)

Yay thank you!! Finally an idea. I wish I was able to hear FORD tell me a build date but if our ETA is same then we must have same build week. I have premium AWD SR so hopefully it same. I was wondering when they will build vehicle with car eta creeping close but now I have an idea. Thanks again

I ordered April 5 in Hamilton but I don't have a build date yet.

For the information provided here so far, it seems that Select models are being de-prioritized by Ford. Most probably those orders will need to be converted into a 2023 model year =/

Hi friends, today I learned depending on agent you connect to is what information you will be exposed to. Today I did my routine call for a status update. I got a gentleman name Xavier and he was probably the most supportive. He told me at end of July my status has updated. My vehicle is scheduled to be Built in Mexico and build date is between august 29- sept 3 ish. My ETA is still Oct 15-21 ( I knew eta since June). Knowing this extra info gives me peace.

I wonder how long other agents knew this and didn’t tell me or maybe this was just recently updated (benefit of the doubt) but my ford app still shows nothing and tracker also “order processing”. Very excited to know that my car will most likely be a 2022

Weird, mine is scheduled for build a week later but the ETA is a week sooner. This is from July and haven't gotten an update recently though. Hope it hasn't changed.

I believe we all are on the same week. But I believe Kks17 is on the west coast so the train from Mexico to East coast Canada will get here first. But then her car will take about another 6 days on the train. I know that from Work when we expect merchandise containers from BC takes about 6 days. Of course this is my assumption based on work so I could proven wrong LOL
