I've not had a great experience with multiple delays and price increases. I picked up an Ioniq 5 Limited at MSRP this past Sat.

Anyone in Vegas interested in an AWD should check with Ford Country in Henderson, Nevada. It should arrive in early Aug. I spoke with the dealership and they are okay with me canceling and will refund the deposit. They seemed happy to have another MME to sell.

Happy? That’s an understatement. They get one topike even more adm on now. You made their day in all likelihood. Enjoy the Ioniq, hope in works out for you.

The good thing is that dealership takes X Plan for anyone interestedin it. The MME looks great and comes with a level 2 charger unlike the Ioniq 5.

Oddly, I’m somewhat familiar with them. They seem to do a good job.

Did they tell you that they’ll take X-Plan for anyone? Or are you just assuming that because they were going to take it for you as the original orderer?

That is a good question. It was a good 18 months ago when we discussed it. I think they partipate in the X Plan program in general. The dealership has solid reviews.

That would prevent them from adding ADM, so it’s quite likely they won’t take it for a cancelled order.

“Picked up an Ioniq 5 limited at MSRP” - that’s no small feat. Congratulations! I like my MME but I’d probably swap for an MSRP limited if I had the option.

I got extremely lucky with the deal as I paid cash and did not trade in a car. I'm going to miss the big MME frunk, included level 2 charger and wireless Android Auto the MME offers.

I don't think X-Plan is allowed in Nevada.

Yesterday I charged my MME next to a brand-new Iconic 5 at an EA station. My impression is that the Iconic is a good-looking vehicle but a lot smaller than the MME. My car already lacks the carrying capacity of my son's Ford Edge, so I wouldn't want to go any smaller.

I'm a bit confused... what do you mean by "comes with a level 2 charger"? I wasn't aware the MME came with that - I assumed it had a wall-plug charger cable like the Hyundais and Kias come with. You're saying the MME comes with an L2 charger that plus into NEMA 14-50 or something? And actually is more than just a cable?

The charger is built into the car. The power unit aka charger Ford provides is a level 1 and 2 combo. Hyundai unfortunately went cheap on this and only provides level 1. You do need a NEMA 14-50 outlet for use the Ford charger at level 2.

I locked in my price with the dealer. No price hikes.

I failed to do that and Ford raised the price by at least $2K from the time I ordered. The dealership was going to try for price protection but it never worked out. Ford also delayed the car production a bunch of times and removed features that were on the order. I test drove an Ioniq 5 Limited recently expecting to hate it. It was the opposite and we are happy so far.

The bottom line is someone will have the opportunity to get an AWD Premium MME off the lot without waiting.
