Ford replaced a Connected Charger under warranty and I am unable to control the new charger from my Ford Pass app. No ability to set the Target Charge or the Preferred Charge Times in the app nor can I add the charger to the Charging section on the car’s Home Screen. I can adjust the charger’s output amperage and that is about it. Anyone else having similar control problems?

If you’re talking about the Ford Connected Charge Station, the charge rate is the only thing you can set. Everything else you have to set in the car, either directly (most reliable) or using FordPass.

That is exactly what I am referring to. I cannot get the car to recognize the charger in order to add the charger and set the Target Charge or Preferred Charge Times. How do I get the charger added ?

Once your vehicle receives its first charge at a particular AC charger, you should be able to go into the app, select that location under Energy -> Target Charge -> “+“ button -> Location. After its marked as a saved location you can set the target charge and consequently preferred times.

That doesn’t seem to be working. I have charged every day for 10 days and still no charger appearing to add on the car screen.

The car doesn’t recognize the EVSE, only the GPS location. I have 3 EVSEs in my garage and only one set of parameters that my car uses for any of them.

You would do this in the phone app.

I wouldn’t.
Whatever is set in the phone app should be synced with the car, and vice-versa. If its not showing in his car, then might as well take a look in the app to see if its there.

The setting is stored in the car. The charging is controlled by the car. When having issues, using the (unreliable) app only adds another failure point.

You have a location problem. I presume you’ve charged there previously. Did you delete the settings you were using for your old EVSE? You will need to charge there again in order for the location to show up.

There are no saved chargers in my car. I have reset the charger settings. I have charged there for the last 10 days.

Again…you don’t “save chargers”, you save locations.
You have to tell it to add a new location, and then it should allow you to choose from locations where you’ve previously charged.
