Again…you don’t “save chargers”, you save locations.
You have to tell it to add a new location, and then it should allow you to choose from locations where you’ve previously charged.
There are no saved locations either. And I am not able to save a location because it tells me there are no new locations. How do I force a new location?

I’ve heard of people needed to charge a few times before the car recognized it as a location, but your 10 times seems excessive. At this point, the only thing I can suggest is to continue charging and attempting again. And to reiterate….do this in the car, not FordPass.

There may be a bug in the Navigation app in the car.
Do you have your home saved as a location in Navigation?

(I know how this sounds) ?

No, I do not. Should I have it saved?
I asked because I had previously experienced a similar issue with getting FordPass to recognize my L2 charging at home "as a location". Thus unable to set a target SOC.

After several days of charging, I sat in the car to see if there was anything in Sync4 that recognized the charge sessions. I don't remember exactly what it was that I saw in charging history that led me to "Saved locations" in Navigation, but I do remember deleting what was labeled as "Home", and the physical address of my property.

After that, the next L2 charging session suddenly was listed in charging history as GPS coordinates, rather than my physical address. That was curious, but since it was listed (in the car), I was able to save it AS A LOCATION. And of course that then allowed me to set a target SOC at that location.

Sure enough, FordPass synced with Sync4, and from then on I can use FordPass to manage target SOC at home.

The main thing that I am now convinced of is that FordPass is not where I would go to troubleshoot these kinds of issues. Instead, it the car itself that has to be addressed, and once it's working as intended, FordPass then hopefully follows suit.

By the way, once the car had record that it had been charged (L2) at those GPS coordinates, when I saved it as a new location, I was able to label it as "Home". So I believe the label home is just a friendly way to describe GPS coordinates, similar to an IP address describing a Mac address. :)
